What is better for most of you a meet during the week or on weekends?
What time of day is better for you guys, morning, afternoon, night?
how long, partial day, all day, multiple days?

Lets do our best to cater to the majority and get as many people as we can, this meet is not exclusive to just east tennessee, but i figure with it being held in this area, might as well get the area members, then work on getting west tn, or surrounding states to join us.

how often do we want to meet, weekly, monthly, yearly, special occasion? If the first meet works out we could work on making this a club of sorts if the majority is interested in such.

anyways get those brains cranking and lets see what we can come up with, i by no means want to be the event organizer, but i thought we could figure that out later on.

its not on the strip, but it is right off papermill dr. there is about 6 or 7 of us that usually show up, there not all cobalts either. But there is 2 there and we go most fridays

Hey, My name is Rick, Maryville. We could meet at Foothills Mall or West Town Mall and cruise the Dragon to Fontana maybe. But I don't have any better ideas than those already listed. Weekend is better for me.

 

excellent... spreat the word out to all the people you know with cobalt g5 or ion... i'd like us to get quite a large meet going, i think a dragon run would be our best bet for the first meet, maybe meet at the first church there on the left on 129 right before you get to walker school road, might be a good area to meet at, and go from there...

 

i think you need to meet in a little bit easier place. people from out of town prolly dont know where that is. we can meet in knoxville, also somebody might have to put some people up for that night. i can but i live in jeff county. and i have an 07 ss/sc black and my name is jeff

 

im in jeff county to right across the street from strawberry plains post office... anyways, if they know the dragon and they know us129 or have a map, you can't miss that church, u have to pass it to get to the dragon. but foothills mall would be a larger landmark tho... reason i don't think we should meet in knoxville, its jsut a further drive to the dragon... i do however know thats part of the whole deal, just i hate waiting to get to the dragon so the closer we meet the better for me LOL.

rather simple, take pellesippi towards alcoa merge right onto alcoa highway, merge right towards at the split past the airport, continue straight u'll make a rather large turn towards the right continue straight u'll pass the new maryville walmart on the left, keep going, u'll see signs saying us129 i believe its a texaco gas station on your left on the right used to be the adult bookstore but its something different now, make a left at this redlight and your on US129... continue straight for probably 15 miles, and u'll start notices a river or lake on your right, once u start a trek upwards u'll see a sign posted 35 mph then you'll be officially on the dragon, u'll know when your out of the dragon when you get to dragon works motorcycle resort... there is a split jsut past the resort if you go right it'll take you to robinsville, nc if you go left it'll take you through the mini dragon, hellbinder into fontana village.

i just got a really badass idea for a cruise meet, probably would be better to do this whenever the gas prices go down, we could do what i like to call the epid ride, take the dragon, through hellbinder, into cherohala skyway, then back up into vonore. it'd have to be a all day affair, if we left around 10:00am we'd probably get back around 6 or 7pm with stopping for gas and food etc.. but could be really fun, specially if we all had those 2 way radios to communicate haha.

thats another great idea, however its starting to get a little colder, not so sure this time of year is the time to go... we did that at a scion meet one time.. had a cookout as well. was great.

 

well guys, I hate to say it, but I traded in my balt today for an 08 350Z. But, if you'll still have me, i'd like to still tag along for the meet/cruise!

wow, if i could afford a trade like that i'd have been down, dunno why you'd do so as you had a ss before was faster than a stock 350z but i can see the potential in the 350z with the right mods. but on this forum from what i've heard a lightly modded 350z gets walked by a lightly modded ss. it'd still be cool to have you tag along tho...

i'd just like to get out of the house and do something lol.

no I left everything on the car. they gave me 16K for it w/ the mods, but i've known the salesman for a long time and bought lots of cars from him. so it was just easier to let it go and not mess with it. And as far as the Z, 306HP stock... after driving it, you couldnt pay me to take my balt back.

 

just stating the facts... lots of people on here with the ss say they walk 350's all the time... 350's are better styling than the balt most definatly and with a few modification i wouldn't see why u'd have trouble with heavily modded ss. i believe its the weight difference and gearing of the balt that is the reasoning but who knows.. if your happy thats great i love the looks of em... i'm a big fan of the inifiniti g35 which has the same motor as ur 350... the stock sound is just amazing.

i got no desire to drive it cause if i do then i'll want one... and if that happens then i'll get one... and i can't afford it and i don't need even the incling that i want one so no thanks lol.

okay lets get back on topic... its almost october i'd say most people need what 3 weeks in advance to a day off?

lets shoot for 17,18,or19th of october...
sound good to everyone? this should give you almost 4 weeks notice in advance...
now we just have to decided on the specific day..

as far as what to do, if you guys can figure out which day and how much time u'd have then we can narrow down some of the ideas. i like the epic ride idea, leave around 10am and go through the dragon and loop through cherohala skyway, this covers to of the most curvy roads in this area.

lemme know what you guys think? we needa try to get something together before the holidays november is no good cause of thanksgiving and then december we got xmas.

I think it'd be good to at least have 4 cars... hopefully we can get more.
