Scythe_Snake 09-15-2008, 05:00 PM man thats an ugly car.
afireinside7710 09-15-2008, 06:17 PM wow looks great in red

firebalt 09-16-2008, 02:16 AM surprisingly, that doesnt look that bad...
now cruze ss? sounds gay, but it could work
fballman1987 09-16-2008, 02:20 AM looks oddly like the aura sedan. lol
cobaltmatt23 09-16-2008, 02:22 AM i wanna see a coupe so bad
afireinside7710 09-16-2008, 02:14 PM i just want to see interior pics, i have already made up my mind on the exterior (:twothumbs)
nutsandboldts05 09-22-2008, 03:22 PM Its a mini-Malibu
LNF powered Cruze would be FTMFW!!!!
Chad92 09-23-2008, 12:19 PM looks like the new malibu hybrid.
dankk 09-24-2008, 12:11 PM looks like the new malibu hybrid.
fwd or rwd?
SKCobalt 09-24-2008, 12:17 PM anyone notice that in the pics from the link that there were no brake calipers on the car? Definatly a little ways from the production model I think. My guess is that a few things will change before it makes it into production (hopefully the headlights)
afireinside7710 09-24-2008, 03:20 PM fwd or rwd?
fwd. Its on the Delta II platform IIRC
Chad92 09-24-2008, 04:19 PM http://www.gm.ca/images/vehicles/2008/chevrolet/malibu/chev_mali_mode_05_main.jpg
2009 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid (GM image)
SS4EVER 09-24-2008, 04:25 PM i wanna see a coupe so bad
I do too!
LNF powered Cruze would be FTMFW!!!!
If it can perform like the SS/TC or better then yes FTMFW!!!!
fwd. Its on the Delta II platform IIRC
Yeah, it's supposed to be a real step up from the Cobalt in terms of quality, styling, and fit & finish. Something GM needs in this segment.
I don't like the name either, but I didn't like Cobalt either when I first heard of the car. Still got one.
Once the Cruze Coupe comes out. & like I said if it has the same performance to offer like the SS/TC does or more, it'll be even better...
07hhr 09-24-2008, 04:34 PM If it didn't have that stupid little extra window thing on the back doors then it wouldn't look half bad, anyone else agree?
ace921000 09-27-2008, 01:06 PM Will be a great car for the general public. Not for car nuts as it seems. Getting up over 40mpg will make toyota start to worry. Well they already are because of the volt! hell yeah. fuck toyota
SS4EVER 09-28-2008, 04:11 PM Don't forget this is just the Cruze sedan guys....
You can compare this to looking at the Cobalt sedan before knowing that GM came out with the Cobalt 2dr SS/SC...
I'm sure in about 1-2yrs after the Cruze launches (probably even sooner) we'll see a Cruze 2dr coupe come out, and hopefully we can see a LNF powered one in a year after.
Just gotta give it time guys! :)
NS06G5 09-28-2008, 04:22 PM that thing looks like chev ran out of ideas and just threw spare parts together, like the dodge nitro. Definately the "ulgly duck" of the flock.

chevy cobalt 08 10-02-2008, 12:21 AM wow you seriously think that?
I have to agree. If anything it looks like it's the malibu's sister
afireinside7710 10-02-2008, 01:15 AM I have to agree. If anything it looks like it's the malibu's sister
i would agree that it looks alot like the malibu, and if it is, then alot of people will like it
chevy cobalt 08 10-02-2008, 01:29 AM I LIKED the malibu till I test drove it that's why I have a cobalt instead. I wouldn't want a malibalt.....
afireinside7710 10-02-2008, 01:37 AM I LIKED the malibu till I test drove it that's why I have a cobalt instead. I wouldn't want a malibalt.....
and thats fine you dont have to, but your comparison of the cruze to a jbody interior is very very off
chevy cobalt 08 10-02-2008, 01:38 AM not to my eye and im only comparing the cavy seat and door insert design to the dash and seat insert design on the cruze not the entire interior it self
afireinside7710 10-02-2008, 01:47 AM not to my eye and im only comparing the cavy seat and door insert design to the dash and seat insert design on the cruze not the entire interior it self

DeftonesFan867 10-02-2008, 12:41 PM I LIKED the Malibu till I test drove it that's why I have a cobalt instead. I wouldn't want a malibalt.....
And your reasoning for this issssss?
chevy cobalt 08 10-02-2008, 04:32 PM i liked the cobalt better. the mali drove like a big car i didnt like that
nutsandboldts05 10-02-2008, 04:46 PM You do realize you're gonna pay out the ass for that JBP tri-flow cam, CC08?

GTO 1
most likely a 1.4l turbo ecotec with ~140hp and 40+ mpg
SS4EVER 10-02-2008, 05:43 PM most likely a 1.4l turbo ecotec with ~140hp and 40+ mpg
and it has DI.
My guess is that this will probably end up being the base model engine choice.
I'm sure the LNF will find its way into the Cruze too. It's a newer engine so I think it's safe to say it'll be in the Cruze...
