Exclamation Est. Delivery Date

Talked to the dealer today.

My Cobalt is scheduled to be produced 2/28/2005 with a target delivery date to the dealer of 3/15/2005. They prefixed their statement with the word estimate. At this point the fact they are even giving a date is good news even if it's an estimate.

I have a Arrival Blue Cobalt SS SC with black seats, sunroof, and xm on order since 9/11/2004.

why wouldnt they work on mondays? if anything they would work mondays to get the cars out the doors. the way GM is complaining about money trust me they (GM) woulld much rather have straight time rather than overtime payouts. who know thats what its like for me though

maybe what you heard is that you dont want a car built on a monday, friday, before or after a holiday because thats when the most problems happen

maybe they were closed last monday because of the holiday? and also, the saying about not buying a car built on a monday or friday is not gonna be realistic, as all cars r built on either a monday or friday, as it takes 5 days to build a car from start to finish... so i've heard...

My aunt retired last year from GM in Ohio and has a friend who is still working there and she says everyone is putting in crazy overtime lately.

It's getting close zinner.

Here is the breif list of Status codes that are applicable to an order as far as the customer is concerned.:

Order status codes:
1100 = Preliminary Order (Order passed GM edit tables but dealers has not received allocation to place order)
2000 = Accepted By GM (Dealer used allocation to place order into production)
2500 = Preferenced (Order pulled to the production system)
3000 = Accepted By Production Control (Order input into the production system)
3100 = Sequenced (Order sequenced for Production)
3300 = Scheduled For Production (Order is scheduled into the plant build cycle)***
3400 = Broadcast (Order is sent to various build & supplier areas to bring order together)
3800 = Produced (Order is built and VIN# shows in the Dealer Order system now)
4150 = Invoiced (Order is invoiced to the dealer)
4200 = Shipped (Vehicle is shipped to the dealer or point of delivery)
5000 = Delivered To Dealer
6000 = Delivered To Customer

Can you tell where or what dealer the blue Cobalts are going to. I ordered mine about the same time as Zinner but have been unable to get any info from my dealer. If so please look for a blue ss/sc, blue seats, sunroof , XM going to Boemler chevrolet in St. louis or Arnold, Missouri . If not, sorry for wasting your time. Thanks in advance Jeff

Sorry about the post I will PM next time.

here is the list of what the event codes mean. Not sure if it's 100 % accurate.

If your at 3000 thats means your not scheduled to be built yet. Not very reassuring.

Order status codes:
1100 = Preliminary Order (Order passed GM edit tables but dealers has not
received allocation to place order)
2000 = Accepted By GM (Dealer used allocation to place order into production)

Notice the line that says order type. It says "Retail Stock"
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but most people that pre-ordered should have the order type listed as "Retail Sold" I know that's what mine says on my order sheet.
It appears that this one is for normal dealer stock......

mine is labeled as retail stock, eventhough it is sold in essence. I put a deposit on the car but in chevy's eye that is still a stock order.
