I heard it doesn't use the stock lifting rod device thing, whatever the hell you call it, and so it needs to be modified. Is this ture, if so that sucks, if not, then I'm getting it!

Well, the CF hood I have is the IPP SS style one. It does use the stock hinge HOWEVER when I put theh ood on with the hinge, it made one side of the hood go up and not fit well. The reason why is because the CF hood weighs so little compared to the stock hood. The hinge was actually pushing the hood up because it was so strong.

How to solve that problem, buy one of those rods at Home Depot that extend. I don't know what they are called but I belive they are specifically made to hold up hoods of cars.

I took the stock rod off my car and my hood fits pretty well.

Congrats on 1000, and thanks for the tip. Theres alot of info such as that, that's left out when people offer products for our cars. I want to know Everything when I buy something, especially something that costs over $100.

yeah, I know the IPP hood uses the stock points, but I'm pretty sure the rk sport doesn't, but if the carbon causes this problem anyways, I don't need to use the stock rod than. The rk sport carbon fiber hood is expensive as hell though

Yeah, I looked at all of the supporting vendors on this board, the cheapest I found was from cobalt-addiction.com
Obviously that's where I'll be buying mine from when i'm ready.

Yup. That's how I heard of them. He told me about them. I haven't bought one yet. Don't really need it. I can use other stuff to suppourt my hood when I need it.
