The new DP helped with top end and spool up time.

I am guessing 15-20whp/30-wtq

That's probably the most restricitve piece in the entire stock exhaust system and will be interesting to do some back-to-back testing compared to a single high-flow aftermarket cat or a test pipe for the track. Maybe the stock one will surpirse us and flow better than expected but I wouldn't hold high hopes. At least with the air flow the stock turbo can move the rest of the 2.5" exhaust plumbing should be more than adequate.

No

I never said it threw a CEL.

I turned it off so it won't with HPT, but they sent a CEL eliminator on it. I am sure it works, but it is less of a hassle to just turn it off.

There are people who have it, and have zero issues with CELs.

And it is pointless to put this on without a tune anyways.

So are you going to have a custom pipe made or already have something in the works?

It is no louder than stock cruising around.

I am dead serious.

You hit boost, and it is louder than it was, but not raunchy or anything.

It is no where's near 'too loud'.

It is about as loud as my touring cat back on my old LE5

Have you done any before/after dyno or track times on the car? Combined that with the tune and maybe a drop-in high flow air filter that would probably be a nice budget upgrade without getting too carried away.

That's nice to hear it isn't too loud or drones. The turbo usually quiets the exhaust down quite a bit and the government actaully classifies a turbocharger as meeting the requirements of a "muffler" under federal law, but some cars still resonate quite a bit. I've got a larger straight pipe on my minivan that dumps via a small muffler right undernearth the front seats. It's nice for the track but after driving it on the street for a couple hours I am suddenly reminded why I like my daily driver to be a little more low key.
