wardzach2007's New Taillights! (PICS)

So over the weekend me and my two other friends decided to tint/black out our tailights.
Well here goes some pics of our cars in the process and some pics of my car when done.
Enjoy! And yes, I know. My friend went all out with the newspaper.

I do have one question though. On one of my tail's, I put a lil to much of clear gloss. How do I take it off? Wet sand it with a high grit? I REALLY need help.

yeah, wet sand it with like 2000 or 2500 grit, but wait a week so that you know that the paint is good and dry

My friend had the same problem. I put like 2 layers for each coat.

looks real good man. nice job. You gonna tint 3rd brake light?

I think tinted lights look real good on silver cars and red cars and stuff, but I dont really like the way they look on black cars like mine, but I would want to tint them alittle bit so the red doesnt stand out as much. Is that like almost impossible with Nightshades?

Actually i am going to tint my third brake light and the side markers whenever I take off the extra gloss on my inner tail. I just kind of ran out of time yesterday.

No, you just put as many coats on the tails. I thought two coats looked awesome to me. I think you would do 2 coats.

Thanks. Let me go outside and take a pic of the "tainted" inner tail.

So you can see how I went out of control with the gloss.

sweet.. id suggest you check there first.. you can probably find a decent deal. Anything in the $100's is just ridiculous.

Updated pics! So is this to much gloss for wet sanding? Or will it still do the trick?

ohhhh shizzy.. you were right, that is a lot of gloss.. lol

once its fully dried, take a 2000-2500 grit sand paper and just wetsand it down man.

once the imperfections are removed and its nice and smooth, just buff it to a nice shine.

you should be ok.

I went to Home Depot and the highest grit sand paper they had was 600! Where in the heck do I find high grit like this?

high grit like 2000+ is pretty hard to find.. if you stop by a local body or paint shop, just ask them to sell you 1 or 2 pieces of sandpaper.. im sure theyl probably just give it to you.
body and paint shops use 2000+ sandpaper the most often, id check there first.

Sweet. Thanks for the tip. I never thought about that. My friends dad owns a body shop, he gave me double sided tape before, so im pretty sure he can give me some sandpaper.
