i was wondering if anyone has actually transferred there loan to another person. i called the company i have my loan with and they said there was this transfer fee and blah blah blah. they also said that the new person had to be approved and would probably get a different apr. this is not good because i have 0%. anyways i was just wondering if anyone has actually done it and if they had the same results.

i haven't done it myself. but its pretty much, for them, like going through a regular loan application. and if they get approved they'll be givin a new apr that is appropriate for them and the bank simply takes the loan off your name and puts it on theres

 

ive done it ... it took me 6 months to get the loan off my credit beurau (sp) after the lease had been switched over. buddy was had made 4 payments before they relized that someone else's cheques were being deposited for my car lol. it also took the both of us faxing all our info almost every week to gmac ( general motors of canada ) showing the ownership had been switched over and the t.o.d. was in his name...all in all it took me 6 months to get out of my lease that i was only in for 10 months on a 4 year lease and it worked out for me.

and it did cost me $475 to transfer everything over...apperently its a cash grab from gm
