Question SS/SC Front lip - replacement

I've nailed the front lip on my SS/SC and I'm going to buy a new one. Does anyone know if they come painted in body color or do they have to be painted by a body shop?

Mine came black plastic, from GM. If it comes painted, get it.

WTF? Are you suggesting that GM has a 'special paint process' at the supplier for reaplacement parts? The parts that get painted an go on cars get baked and the replacement parts get magically taken off the paint process before baking?

you have no idea what you're talking about! GM just buy parts - some go for cars, others go for replacement parts - they stick to the process - the paint wouldn't make it out of the box if it didn't get baked on, you plonker!

Have you ever been in a parts factory and seen wht they do?

I just checked with my dealer - you can't tell from the parts computer if they come body colored or not - bummer. The whole thing's about $300 and some change.

Anyone ever buy one of these from GM?

You can not get the part painted.

You will have to order it and have a local body shop paint to match.

Any ideas how much it might cost to paint the front lip? This way I have some idea when I get a front lip.

What's a 2.0 have to do with anything? As long as you have a SS/SC front bumper that's all you need.

please click the X in the upper right corner

although, you could use the ss/na bumper as well, it is the same price.

Actually, he's not. Read what he said. As long as you have an SS/SC front bumper, it doesn't matter. That's actually right. In fact, if you have the SS/TC front bumper (facia is the correct term), that works too. The lip extension is identical. We are talking about the lip, right?
