will 06 2.4L ss gauge cluster work in 07 2.2L

I am pretty sure the gauge cluster will be a direct fitment but will my digital display read my information bc I have an 07 or will it read the 06 readings?

thanks

It most likely won't work.

Go with a 2.4L SS gauge from an 07.

Actually....

We have discussed this issue at length over the years and so far everyone that has done a swap has had it work without a problem.

The gauge clusters are controlled by the ECM's, and are really nothing more then just a display. So if you swap out your display (cluster), the ECM doesn't care and everything still appears to work normally.

You are right any wrong with this statement. Since it will work, but not completely.

I have tested this out. 06 2.4/SS/NA cluster on an 07 LS. They will work... kinda... The MPH/KPH will work normally, as will the RPMS, and all your normal cluster lights, (IE. CEL seat belt, high beams, and shift light) Th one thing that will not work is the DIC. It will display the outside temps, and the miles only, and your controls for it will not work. Also on the 06 cluster all the noises like blinker click and door click and any beeps the car makes will play from the cluster, and on the 07's it plays through the driver side door speaker. Your millage and all the other in for will be carried over. In order for everything to work perfectly, you need to switch with an 07 or an 08. I'm not sure if the 09 is the same or not. To the OP if you have any other questions about it, just PM. Also if you don't really care about the whole DIC not working i have an 06 cluster for sale and i'll send it out for 75 shipped.

Just about there are some differences. 2.4 cluster is a white face set. On the 06 the door chimes, blinker clicks, and beeps play through the cluster. On the 07 all the sound play through the driver side door speaker.

Exactly. I have an 06 2.4 in mine right now. It actually worked out for me cause when I installed my pioneer deck, I didn't get the GMOS harness and still have all of my chimes.
