I have the wheel weights on the inside of my rims, and I heard a rub sound when the wheel was COMPLETELY turned one way or the other. It appears it has been hitting the steering rod (I think that's what it's called). I put some spacers on and now it's much better, but still touches as the wheel turns (of course with the wheel being turned all the way). Now, it's more like a "click" sound instead of the rubbing sound.

Anyone have any suggestions? It's not really a big deal, I could just deal with it. But, if there's any way of preventing it (I don't really want them on the outside of the rim) I would like to know.

Dont turn the wheel all the way?

 

Get someone to rebalance the wheels with stick on weights instead of the rim clip type. problem solved if its just the weights.

 

Never heard of the stick on weights. Any more info on them?

 

they're just weights that literally stick on to the inside of the rim rather than clipping to the lip. They are mostly used for highperformance tire/rim combos where u don't wanna see any ugly wheel weights.

I have them on my 17s.
