I am getting ready to purchase a Hahn exhaust for my 2008 T/C and I am a little worried about how loud it is. Police in my area love writing exhaust tickets. How much louder is it compared to stock? Is there any way to silence it? Thanks

 

its loud but its deep so a cop wont notice it as much as a honda with no muffler... very mellow compared to vibrant and what not... You will love it if you get it

when it comes to the Cobalt's.

 

I have the Hahn exhaust and it is not as loud as I expected. When it arrived, I looked down the throat of the muffler and resonator, and both are full opening. I have the Synapse DP without the cat. converter, so mine should be louder than it would be with the cat. However, the sound from inside the car is barely louder than stock. Outside, the sound is mellow and smooth. It would greatly surprise me if anyone would get a ticket from this exhaust. Enjoy!

 

its actually quite under normal load, even when you step on its not that load....

Even the dealership I went to was I cant believe the exhaust is so quite..... I live in the DC metro area and Virginia cops in Fairfax county are the worst when it comes to exhaust tickets, I can drive by them and they dont even give me a second look from noise from the exhaust....

Buy it.......... You wont regret it....
