04 RSX-S vs. 05 balt ss/sc stock

the type s has i/h/e and no tune. and my balt is ss/sc stock. this guy keeps telling me his type s can own me from a stop and roll all day. he is still i guess newish to driving stick he started about 6-9 months ago for the first time. i've been driving stick for ALL my life and i'm 22. so starting and shift points is no worry on my end. i know our motors are under-rated. however type's's are perrty quick themselves for being n/a... can anyone reall say he'll own me? i know their is only one way to find out. however track day wont be here for a while so i just want to know in advanced for insecurity issues lol. Thanks guys...

im a 2.2, full bolt-ons and a 75 shot. i RAPED a RSX-S from a 20 roll, 40 roll, and a dig. He had the same mods you stated.

type s's take to mods very well. I hate to say it but most stock ss/sc owners barely hit mid 14's in the 1/4. So I think I'm gonna have to side with the RSX on this one. But I honeslty don't know enough about RSX's to make an accurate call.

mmm yes but you do have a 75 shot. I might be willing to say you'd beat a stock ss/sc

looks like with said mods most rsx's will run low 14's with a good driver. So i'm gonna say you would lose by a car or two.

yeah, i guess your right. i did get a better ET and trap than a redline that had an intake. so i guess it may be a closer race than i though

full bolt on tuned k20z's can see up to 106 mph traps, without a tune low 100 mph traps. He should still yank on you

ok cool so pro driver vs. intermediate... also there was a mis-print. he has a cat-back mugen, and intake... and beats the crap out of it all day. also, crashed it once, oh and its un-tuned. for the record i did tell him when he first got it. dood you know your cars fast so you don't have to drive it fast and show it off... 4 weeks later he crashed it changed lanes at a high rate of speed luckily he only cracked the passenger fender and scrapped his door a whole bunch by a daewoo... and for anyone who seen Pineapple Express YOU JUST GOT SMOKED BY A DAEWOO!

Thank You guys for all your feedback btw... if a mod can lock this up that would be cool.

Type S vs Stock SS/SC.....

stick to the lowest rpm possible. Once his Vtec kicks in he can almost hang with stage 2s. 40 roll if you cant launch. and shut it down by the end of 3rd so you dont embarass yourself WHEN he starts pulling.

Im gonna side with the Type S... but if he races you from a dig+40 roll it will be driver race to 80.

Dont let people fill you with sunshine that you can take him with ease.

I highly suggest getting stage 2 before racing him if you want a good win.

if you race him from dig, you better make sure you don't spin too much...ease off the line, but still its gonna be pretty close in the top end, i think he will have you by maybe a fender or so....now from the roll, you should be able to pull on him especially if you guys do a 40 mph roll

lower rpm he will.... the amount he jumps before the rsx reels him in will be the kicker.

i have vids of it.... rsx with bolts on will keep up with stage 2. If you dont have the heat exchanger on especially, u will lose power after 100 mph.

I destroy rsx's and civic si's now (40-120 = 2-3 buses), however i remember my stage 2 racing days of getting pissed off.

Each car is different, the stock rsx-s will get taken by a s2 by a 2-4 cars from my experience. With bolts ons....those rsx's can hang pretty good. I tried to 60 roll a bolt on RSX-S and i could barely pull a car on him during s2.
