jus the stock pirelli SS/SC tires, i know i know you guys say they have no traction in the snow but i have no problems with them on my car, i used them last year and had 0 problems. I just wanted 18s cuz i hate the look of 16s on my car.

Those gun-metal SS/SC rims look good on the HHR! I have them on my black SS/SC and love them!

No its not going to be off by much the 16 inchers were actually right around the same diameter as 18s with lower profile tires cuz the 16s had such a huge sidewall.

like i said i had them last year and had no problems, the snow just doesn't get that bad here, every once in a while we will get it hard but normally only once or twice. i drove my I-roc Z Camaro in ******* deep snow for 2 years so its really not to hard with this car, and jusdging by your SN you probably know what I'm talking about.

It wasn't the snow that I had the problem with... the tires actually hardened up in the cold. Especially in the salt they use here, my car would slide all over and have NO traction even when it was dry out. It was annoying as hell, lol.

Damn, the SC rims on the HHR are hot. I wish I could've gotten the black HHR I found while looking for a car.

exactly. it's not about the snow even, the wheels themselves harden when it gets cold out. i'm about to take my summers off and put the winters off, because i lose traction at any speed. summer wheels are absolutely horrible in the cold, and especially in the snow. some people try to convince themselves that they will do ok, but every winter there's shitloads of accidents caused and involving people that thought they would be ok.

to the o.p. about the worst thing you can do is use summer tires for winter tires and call it "winterizing".

well i'm more less worried about my wheels i don't want to ruin my wheels with the salt, when i bought these wheels i had no idea they were summer tires only, as i stated 2 times already, they worked fine for me last year. so I'm not worried about it, so you guys don't really need to bring it up i know about the tires and snow. they will have all seasons on them hopefully next year.

if you're going to buy tires, i would recommend dedicated winter tires. all seasons will never be as good as winters.

i know the tires/wheels may be fine in the winter, but if you drove the car with dedicated winter wheels you would never look back. but worry about it next year or whatever, because by that time it will be time for new tires anyways.

the wheels do look great on the car though :
