Rattles check-in

So am I the only one with rattles now that it's cold?

I'm getting a fun one out of the driver's side door. Only 1,000 miles on the car. Thanks for the top-level build quality, my UAW friends...

Anyone else?

I had a squeak up in the sliding door for the moon roof. I slammed it back and the sound went away.

I have that one too! I don't know what it is. I think it is coming from the passenger door latch.

if you spend 500 on deadener, you must be buying that garbage they call dynomat.

i would spend 200 tops and thats using two types of deadener for the entire car, headliner included.

but i do agree i have the worste rattles now that the "quick drop in install" has had a few months to work on the rear deck its time to take it out and start painting that lovely blue goop.

good luck with all that

No rattles to speak of, I do have a bit of wind noise from the drivers door, which is caused by the door being slightly misaligned.

Details on this? What brand/type are you using?

Same question. Ive read about dynomat (and how overpriced/low performing it is) but found lots of mixed opinions on the alternatives.

check out second skin. ive used a mixture of pretty much all their products. Damplifier pro and spectrum everywhere, motor mat pro and heatwave pro on the roof, Luxury liner in the doors and rear quarter panels. Soon im going to throw some damplifier on the hood and possibly fender (fender probably doesnt make that much noise but its the only piece of metal other then the hood that isnt solid on my car)

The driver's door squeak is the door literally rubbing against the fender...mine has been doing this since long before the cold weather. I have yet to get this taken care of...

On the silver cars you won't notice the paint rubbing off, but on the darker colors you will.

I noticed the Black 09 Cobalt SS at the dealership has the same issue and you can see the paint coming off...

I too have the glove box rattles, it's getting VERY bad!

I am VERY upset with these problems, especially seeing as mine is NOT the only car to have these squeaks and rattles...

mine will be heading to the dealer soon. my car rattles like a bitch in this colder weather. i can deal with that, because once my car warms up it gets better. my sunroof is killer though. it's annoying as HELL.

8000 miles so far, main rattle I get is from the passenger airbag cover against the dash, I loosened the bolts and pushed it down while tightening them back up and it hasn't come back, yet I didn't notice it tightening the cover up
