Later, Brad redcblt265 10-29-2008, 07:43 PM i have stock 16's, but i think 17 or 18 looks a bit better, although 18 might be a little too large on some Acey 10-29-2008, 07:45 PM only the lt's with the sport package had 16's. my lt has the 15" aluminum wheels that look like a mini ss/tc wheel sorta lol lol wut balt21 11-02-2008, 03:33 PM lol wut lol i figured that would confuse people. like these...this is not my car btw http://www.sellitnowmotors.com/classifieds/user_images/5476286.jpg like i said, it sorta looks like a mini ss/tc wheel, i think at least lol. ilovecars 11-29-2008, 04:56 PM bump Blackout06LS 11-29-2008, 05:07 PM you need water. waterbox fixes that problem real quick Yielded me slower times. I didn't feel like sitting there cooking the tires so I just dealt with quick spins to warm em up. Maven 11-29-2008, 08:00 PM 16's with a 225.50.16 look fine but you HAVE to be lowered. The Cobalt is really a pretty large and bubbly little car, with big wheel openings, so it does like best with 17's in my mind. The diference between a 225/50/16 and a 225/45/17 is a half inch of sidewall, not really as dramatic as alot of people think. Not to mention that wheels are cheaper and lighter and that tires are cheaper. black-balt 11-29-2008, 08:08 PM I had 16's on the cavalier... http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc9/jesse-timmons/a.jpg gots the 18's on the balt... http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc9/jesse-timmons/thanksgiving011.jpg erics95se 11-29-2008, 08:11 PM I had 16's on the cavalier... http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc9/jesse-timmons/a.jpg  i'm so sorry but.. jschatte 11-29-2008, 08:41 PM  i'm so sorry but.. x2 lol and in my opinion 16's are too small... but very smooth and lighter as compared to my 18's ilovecars 11-29-2008, 08:54 PM 16's with a 225.50.16 look fine but you HAVE to be lowered. Of course, theres nothing WRONG with them at all.....like I said wheels and tires are cheaper and the wheels will most likely be at least 3lbs each lighter than a comparable 17. If you wanna run 16's, go for it! If I stick with my current wheel choice Ill be running 16s too because theres over a $600 price diference between 16 and 17 in the newest wheel I like. ilovecars 11-29-2008, 10:22 PM Of course, theres nothing WRONG with them at all.....like I said wheels and tires are cheaper and the wheels will most likely be at least 3lbs each lighter than a comparable 17. If I stick with my current wheel choice Ill be running 16s too because theres over a $600 price diference between 16 and 17 in the newest wheel I like. so 16 = cheaper. good lol. what would be better preformance wise? 16 or 17 and then if 16s are lighter does the tire extra size just make up for that? the tires have to be some what bigger so it cant be just as light berto 11-29-2008, 10:24 PM He Means Post Pix People!!! ilovecars 11-29-2008, 10:31 PM He Means Post Pix People!!! this is true Blackout06LS 11-29-2008, 10:54 PM so 16 = cheaper. good lol. what would be better performance wise? 16 or 17 and then if 16s are lighter does the tire extra size just make up for that? the tires have to be some what bigger so it cant be just as light You have less rotational mass with 16s if you have same tire size as the 17(clearly not the last number but you get the picture). But if the 16s are heavier then you lose any purpose. ilovecars 11-29-2008, 11:01 PM You have less rotational mass with 16s if you have same tire size as the 17(clearly not the last number but you get the picture). But if the 16s are heavier then you lose any purpose. gotcha. any one like these? http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Konig&wheelmodel=CSharp Maven 11-29-2008, 11:30 PM If you compare any two identical model tires and the only difference is that one is a 225.50.16 and the other is a 22.45.17 youll likely find that there is almost always less than a pound difference(the 16 will be lighter), the 17s have less sidewall, so the sidewall has to be stiffer, more material. Very little difference in weight between these two sizes. And if you go with the 205/55/16 size(stock 16 size) youll find the 16 is almost always 2-3lbs lighter than the 17 of the same model black-balt 11-30-2008, 12:36 PM  i'm so sorry but.. what's so  about that? I paid $150 for the rims and tires together so I sported them Maven 11-30-2008, 01:42 PM gotcha. any one like these? http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Konig&wheelmodel=CSharp THESE! http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Konig&wheelmodel=Britelite+%2D+Red Tank07 11-30-2008, 02:01 PM http://www.buywheelstoday.com/images_products/4296.jpg those are on my 16" on my 2007 LT coupe..........my car is white and i love em :cssNET: it also looks better once the lugs are in and on since u dont really notice its a multi-lug wheel :-) ilovecars 11-30-2008, 07:16 PM THESE! http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?wheelbrand=Konig&wheelmodel=Britelite+%2D+Red HAHA lol no thanks 06blackSC 11-30-2008, 07:29 PM http://cobaltss.net/gallery/files/8/3/4/4/cobaltmeetfeb11014.jpg 16" HHR alloys wrapped in 205/60/16 michelin x-ice. for the cold weather only but the look is growing on me. ilovecars 11-30-2008, 07:31 PM [IMG] 16" HHR alloys wrapped in 205/60/16 michelin x-ice. for the cold weather only but the look is growing on me. same. at first i though the tires would be too big for me butnow im liking it. and so is my wallet lol. dman090 11-30-2008, 07:33 PM http://cobaltss.net/gallery/files/8/3/4/4/cobaltmeetfeb11014.jpg 16" HHR alloys wrapped in 205/60/16 michelin x-ice. for the cold weather only but the look is growing on me. wheres ur antenna? 06blackSC 11-30-2008, 07:39 PM took it off and put a vacuum line cap over the top.
