Fmhe Intake Numbers

i just installed the zzperformance front mount heat exchanger. i took off the hose coming out of the right side of the stock heat exchanger and had it go to the front mount, and then from there to the inlet of the duall pass endplate. i would get iat2 temps of about 125-135 deg F, and now i am still getting about the same, maybe even a little bit hotter. going about 75 mph i see the iat2 temps of about 120 lowest ive seen was 117 on a 82 deg day.... is this normal?? maybe i have air pockets??? i was expecting to see lower iats..... what do you guys think

If you didn't bleed it out you have air pockets...

I bled mine for 2-3 days and it still wasn't fully bled. I went through about 3/4 of a gallon, just the front mount since I removed the stock one.

I bet I could have had a little more in the system if I never hit the damn cat and twist the front mount.

BTW, I hit a cat and all that happened was it bent. Didn't leak but twisted into the AC condenser and into the rad destroying everything.

No idea. I went back to the scene after coasting home and it was MIA.

The next day when it got towed I had hair in the subframe holes

I honestly wish the cat died a cold death. Costs a lot of money to fix!

Let's just say fast enough to coast roughly 1/2 mile home with 3 turns

its gonna take awhile for you to bleed out the system. make sure you keep adding coolant.

And yes, keep adding fluid.

Every night when you get home and turn the car off, pop the hood and add more coolant until it fills up. The next morning when you go to the car, pop the hood and check the fluid. If it went down, add more till it fills up again. I did this every time I started/turned off the car. Seemed to work awesome.

The stock system should technically bleed itself if the surge tank is still there.

Normal. You live in a miami which is hot and humid...even in the winter.
