2009 Automatic Shift Boot?
2009 Automatic Shift Boot?
I drove a 2009 LT with an automatic last week. It seems the 2009's with the auto has a sort of "shift boot", around the shifter, similar to the manual stick. Anyone have a pic to post or a part illustration? Wonder if the 2008's could be updated and for how much?

I just test drove a couple also and I thought it looked cheesy and really cheap. In fact the interior for some reason looked cheaper than my 2006 LT Sedan. Maybe it was the ebony color?
On another note I test drove one with the 15 inch tires and one with the 16's and the one with the 15s seemed to ride better for some reason.
GM is giving me $4000 off a new one but I was just not impressed and not sure now that I want to do it.
That boot around the shifter really made the interior seem cheap. The shift action was also just as notchy and poor feeling as my '06-I would of thought GM would improve it but nope!
Now I'm thinking about a Fusion instead. I need a car about the same size as my Cobalt and the Focus is just too damn ugly.

Thats what I wanted to do too. But after that pic IDk. The parking brake does look like a POS stock and if you take the cover off. Im just waiting to find something that looks good over it
