I work for the railroad and we are changing ties in Buffalo for the next few weeks. We were all sitting on the machines waiting to get permission through the CP and I decided to run to the store and get a coffee. I walked past an autozone and immediately recognized the blacked out bowtie and the new front grille. It was a friggin Cruze! The interior was super sleek. Almost Volkswagenish. In fact the rear end looks almost identical to a Jetta or a Passat. I'm really happy to see that Chevrolet is finally working on nicer interiors. They guy driving it came out with some motor oil and what looked to be like a headlight assembly. I asked him if this was really going to the the replacement for the Cobalt and he said he wasnt able to give out that kind of information. I'll post pics in a few minutes.

Looks alright. Would like to see a 2-door or sport version. And it seems like the stereo controls are a little far from the driver, like one would have to reach to use them, could be the angle of the picture tho.

They have been talking about releasing it later than the initial 2010 year. Probably due to the economy...so cobalts may stay a little longer :D

Thats connected to the fuel tank. The guy also said something about the need to drain the fuel tank for the use of different fuels. Probably different octane ratings. His laptop was plugged into the car I dont know if that means anything.

He's probably a calibration engineer. They use laptops to log data and monitor how changing various engine parameters affect the car.

interior wise i think its a step in the right direction, but looks wise its a step back

i think with the big ass front grille, that the styling guys at GM could make one hell of a badass looking car in a coupe/SS form.

Yeah because the Maxima is just such an amazing car that it needs some heavy competition........did you ever wonder why no other compan really went heavily after the mid-large size FWD performance sedan market? Its because its not a big market:) Nobody except for Max owners care about that car. Why would you buy a Maxima when you can have a CTS?

From what I see the cruze sedan looks much better than the coupe sedan. I wanted to get my SS as sedan but I don't care for the roof line/bubble with the sedan.

The need to work on the rear. Looks way too much like the VW Passat or the Jetta I forget which one. Front is beautiful.
