TO answer your question as to why don't they go and get the crack dealers and such is plain and simple economics...Busting a group of adults who are racing around generates revenue, whereas conducting an investigation for months, only to come up empty handed degrades revenue....My question is this...How exactly did witnesses "Observe" 150 MPH speeds?

Hey, smartguy....How about I DO NOT street race. If you bothered to pay attention to the previous posts, you would have seen that I am currently in the process of becoming a police officer. Seems kinda contradictory to be street racing, now doesn't it? There's that reason, the fact I lost a very good friend to street racing, and oh yeah...a full day at the track is only 30 bucks, and I can go as fast as my car will take me. And finally, I have a high enough car note as it is...I CANNOT afford to pay a traffic fine, and I'll be damned if I lose my car. Any more reasons you need from me?

In the future....I would highly suggest that you A-read ALL posts, and B-Know what is going on at these places. Being from that you are in Calgary, you cannot have the slightest idea of what is happening in this area, it's a simple question of location. You are not in Virginia, therefore, you only know what you are told when it comes to events that occur in Virginia, just like I have no clue as to the realities of things in Calgary. The street racers in question number to a maximum of about 20 or so knotheads, as opposed to other what, 80 or so of us that are doing nothing more than hanging out with our friends, however, in the eyes of the local PD, it's guilt by ***ociation. Look through that whole clip/report, and please SHOW ME where you see a Cobalt on the footage. I for one can say that I will never be caught street racing, BECAUSE I DON'T STREET RACE. I have the car that I do because A- I liked it, B-I could afford it C-It's my first new car, and D- The insurance is hella cheap. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about the performance aspect, but as I said earlier, I keep my runs on the track.

Now, I'm not saying street racing isn't a bad thing, in the event you haven't read anything prior to this sentance in this post...I DISAGREE WITH STREET RACING. However, to each his own. I personally do not want to be responsible for ending another's life at the cost of what, 15 or so seconds? I have to much to lose currently in my life to even think about doing something that stupid, so keep that in mind next time you want to go popping off at the mouth.

Yea By The Way Im Stupid One You Were Refering Too

Kritter
03-10-2006, 06:37 PM
What stupid one did I refer to? The line about having to much to lose to do something that "stupid"? Just my opinion...I think street racing is worthless. I understand why it's done, but I can't give it any merit, the concept of stupidty comes into play (at least in my eyes) when I stand to lose first new car, and eventually my nice apartment(at the hands of court costs/traffic fines)...Do the math man, you make more bank than I do, as evident by your car modifications, as opposed to my all stock, because I can't afford to get them yet. Your posistion my be different than mine, but in my shoes, with the costs I have, street racing is in fact a stupid choice to make. Not to say I'm any bigger or better a man than you are, because I'm not, we're all the same at the end, people who love our cars...The difference lies in our priorities. No harm intended man.

i didnt know that the racers would slow down traffic or even stop it on the interstate so a few of them can race. that would( and thinking about it does) totally piss me off! i take the interstate most of the time at night and have them do that. what gives them the right! breaking the law is breaking the law! no way around that one.
