Dead spot at 3000 RPM

Hi all,
I'm fairly new to the sport compact market. I have a 525 horsepower Z-28 but just picked up a Rally Yellow 06' SS/SC. Seems like sometimes i get a dead spot while shifting at about 3000 RPM's. Any ideas out there?? I'm also looking for a part number for a K+N set-up.

I feel my cobalt has most of it's power above 3000 & with the stage 2 kist or atleast the intense kits I hear it gives it more bottom end then

as for the K&N I was reading on that last night & I saw the K&N E 1009 filter in the airfilter mod!

That's cool. Any word how much the stage one or stage two kit are going for?

This is typical, has to do with gearing and low revs.

from what I've seen the stage 2 kit is around $750 from your dealer but I'm not sure if that includes the labor or not as then it could take 2 to 2.5 hours labor at there shop rate

They reflash the computer install larger injectors & put a smaller pully on the charger & I think a different belt and it adds like 40 hp
