FS: Brand New Fender American Strat!

Why howdy everyone. Well, money's getting sort and I'm selling off my new Fender Stratocaster. It's the Highway One model, made here in the US. There is a slight catch to this one though, I had to custom order this thing through the music store because it's One of only 400 built by Fender. It's the Factory Special Run of the 60's style Stratocaster with the rare 2 tone sunburst finish, and maple neck/fretboard. I also need to mention that this edition is loaded with 3 Fender Custom shop pickups from the factory, the custom shop logo is stamped on the back of each pickup. This thing is MINT, and I had the frets professionally redone right when I got it ($200 right there). First $700 takes it! I'll even restring and set it up for you. We can work something out of it needs to be shipped, but I need to make my car payment for the month! Thanks for looking!

nice axe. but why the fret job? was the crown of the fret that bad out of the box? were there high spots that caused string buzz? did the fingerboard shrink leaving a little bit of overhang(sharp!!)

I wish i could help you out. But i'm a bass player and i'm trying to sell one of my customs too.

The frets were actually pretty good right out of the box, but I am a guitar luthier on the side, lol and one of my buddies who I went to luthier school with was in town, and does an awesome job with frets (even better than me) so I figured why not? So now they're immaculate. Nothing touches the Les Paul I redid though, but this guitar is well worth the money for anyone who wants it. It's a tone MONSTER!

Do you have actual pics of the guitar?

They may help...

That picture is a picture of a 3 tone sunburst strat with a maple fret board.

Also what is the body made out of, and secondly, check ebay listings.

Does it come with a case or a gig bag?

wow, you know your stuff man, . That pic is of the 3 tone, just because I didn't have time to run out to get new batteries for my camera, so I just snagged a similar one. The 2 tone awesome though, think Stevie Ray Vaughan. It's very similar to the Eric Johnson Strat. I'll get some pics up tonight, but yes, it does have the maple fretboard, and the body is Alder. As for ebay, i check prices on there previous to buying this one, and there was only ONE from the same Factory Special Run that I saw on there going for $850. I may be able to provide some paperwork with it as well, or get you in contact with someone who can. My old teacher runs the FSR department at Fender thus the music store being able to get a hold of one for me! and it has a gig bag, even sthill has the price tag and manual with it. give this a bump guys! I need to make my car payment, lol, so some of the guitar collection must go!
