no you dont. pain in the ass to install, super expensive, someone has yet to show a dyno of it doing anything better than a traditional mid-length for our cars. has an "interesting" sound to say the least. lol

btw OP, if a shop is installing that header for you, they are going to hate you

why tune it? i think you should do some power mods before you tune it otherwise your gonna be there two months later spending the same money to do something you could have done once

if your heavy into modfication i suggest that you piece together your own kit, or purchase one from an aftermarket vendor like OTT 60# and a 2.8 is a great place to start

definitely the best bang for your buck

just some friendly advice.

cooling mods. BIG Front mount Heat exchanger. Dual pass intercooler endplate w/ option b. then drop in some 60lb injectors, a 2.8 inch pulley and a nice tune

well, two options i think
if your going to get into performance modification past stage 2 your going to have to void your warranty at somepoint considering you have basically all the available boltons
like i said earlier an aftermarket kit is possibility other things you can do is cooling mods, easiest would to get a new Heat exchanger from CX racing or a dualpass option b (search this one, im not that knowledgeable but a lot of people do it) and the most difficult mod would be a meth injection of some type.

if i were you, id wait a little bit before you started buying more stuff and start looking at peoples track numbers and see there set ups (hatrickstu) definitely do some searching and read old threads bcuz there is a lot of info to be had there

otherwise you could always look into sound or appearance if you dont want to void your warranty (plz stay away from the big wings decals and underglow)

do you have a 2007 SS/SC? if so, the GM stage tune is pretty damn good despite what people say, my buddy has logs on hptuners. the car holds 22 degrees of timing throughout wide open throttle with no knock retard. okay so basically, supercharged cars suffer from something called heatsoak. your going to hear this term a lot=intake air temperature 2(IAT2). this is the temperature of the air after the supercharger. the lower this temperature is, the more efficient the supercharger is which=consistent power. on our intake manifold, the stock endplate passes coolant through there 4 times, with the dual pass it moves through twice...moving the fluid much quicker to prevent it heating up. a big front mount heat exchanger is basically a big radiator for our supercharger coolant. more coolant=longer time to heatsoak. option B for the dual pass kit just adds more fluid to the system. you want to do these cooling mods because the 2.8 inch pulley will be creating a lot of heat. if you have any other questions, just ask

just keep in mind you will have to be tuned for the meth injection, i recommend front mount HE and dual pass w/ option B as your next mods. then drop pulley sizes on the supercharger

yeah its a 07 ss/sc but whats the better colloing mod cause now i just dont know which one would be the best to get because of heard of alot of people having meth injection, so what about combining meth injection with the heat exchanger?

dont get the GM stage kit if you plan on getting tuned right after. it would be pointless. but lets say you piece together your own kit of a 2.8 inch pulley, 60lb injectors and you buy meth injection. you would have to be tuned for all of this
