I have noticed in my 08 SS/TC that if I give it a little punch off the line in normal mode, it will do the old school wheel hop like on my old SC. I remeber there was a dampener bracket for the motor that helped this out on the SC, but I thought the wheel hop was completley taken care of on the TC. Anybody have any thoughts on this and also would that bracket for the SC work on the TC.

The same mount will fit our cars as well. Mine does the same thing it, scares me because I feel like something is going to break. Turbotechracing has them I believe.

I have posted this before but I think it is worth repeating. If you break your transmission case, Chevy will tell you that it broke because of excessive wheel hop and they will reference a GM TSB that instructs them NOT to warranty the transmission because they are 100% sure that you broke your car due to abuse.

My dealer replaced my tranny anyway as there was only 1,400 miles on the car when it broke and my Cobalt was the third new car I had purchased from that dealer in six years. My car was down for 34 days while they tried to find a new transmission.

The TSB is specifically for 2005-2006 SS/SC's and the TSB even states that they intend to make changes (axles and I can't remember what else) for the 2008 model year to eliminate the problem. Whatever they changed did not stop my car from breaking the transmission.

I just think it is important that all Cobalt SS/SC and SS/TC owners are aware that if your transmission breaks, GM will give you a bunch of shit about you abusing the car and will probably refuse to fix your transmission under warranty based on the TSB.

Ingalls will not fit on the Turbo Cobalt... Your only option is the Turbo Tech Racing Mount, which will bolt right in, with no modifications.
