View Full Version : hahn racecraft intake manifold
Dragonsfire12345 11-25-2008, 10:52 AM I got a question on this bad boy... I'm in the processing of saving up money to finish my turbo kit that I have under my bad. Now for the question... On the hahn racecraft website it says recommended for applications of 15psi or higher, I was wondering is that also a minimum or can I run oh say 10 or 11psi boost?
The turbo I have is an EVO III 16g turbo, if yall needed to know what kind of turbo it is... any other questions feel free to ask:cssNET:
BoostedG5 11-25-2008, 10:56 AM because you dont seeing much of a gain till you hit the 300+hp mark. You can put it on and it would help just not nearly as much as it would if you were 300+hp.
Immortal Technique 11-25-2008, 11:00 AM I'm pretty sure you'll need the mitsu flange for that turbo. Most are t3/t4

ebristol 11-25-2008, 11:23 AM You will see gains with the Hahn IM. But if you are only going to push that low of a PSI you should consider saving some cash and buy a SC delete kit.
Dragonsfire12345 11-25-2008, 11:28 AM I have a 2.4:lol:
Dragonsfire12345 11-25-2008, 08:59 PM so I'm good running at 12psi with the hahn IM?
Blown 4-banger 11-26-2008, 02:21 PM so I'm good running at 12psi with the hahn IM?
I'm going to be running 0 psi on mine. I'm getting the manifold before the turbo, so I'll be N/A with that manifold. Hahn said I was fine to run it N/A. So if I'm good to run 0 boost, I think you'll be fine with 12 psi.

Correct

sounds good, maybe I'll do the same:guns: are you getting yours with the port fueler? and how does that work?
Correct

I know where I'll be ordering it from:cool:
Blown 4-banger 11-26-2008, 08:50 PM The port fueler is an extra set of holes for more injectors, so you can run a set of stock injectors in conjunction with a set of 60's. I'm not getting it, I'm just running one set of either 79 lbs/hr injectors, or 83 lbs/hr injectors on mine.
Dragonsfire12345 11-27-2008, 04:14 AM ah I get ya, I guess thats for more balls to the wall power...
Sentry 11-27-2008, 05:26 PM I want one so bad. I wish it wasn't like $800 though. I guess that's what you pay for a quality piece though.
I need to sell my 2.4 and go ahead and get this one and run it Na until I get boosted.

i have a friend running one on his n/a built ecotec cavy. when he put it on he found it moved the powerband way up.
you can run 10psi on a stock plastic manifold so you dont need to buy the hahn intake. a friend of mine (i built the car pretty much) has a turbo ecotec pushing 12 psi on stock manifold with no issues
TurboTechRacing 11-28-2008, 10:54 AM I "blew" a hole in my plastic intake manifold on my Ecotec Cavalier running 12 PSI. This is a must upgrade for most all turbocharged applications!
celicacobalt 11-28-2008, 06:13 PM Im still running my composite intake manifold at 11+ psi for a while now with no issues.

got another question, are you gonna have to mess with tuning?
pjk91 12-02-2008, 07:53 PM yeah
Dragonsfire12345 12-06-2008, 12:17 PM guess I'll just do the audio first then... don't wanna pay for tuning twice if I'm just gonna turbo the car sometime around income tax season.
