The SS is hitting the home stretch.

Well, as many of you know, its been a back and forth ordeal with me and my car here lately. I've debating selling it and keeping it here alot lately. For those of you who followed some of my other threads, you already know how me attempting to trade it in resulted in epic fail. What they offered me for it was....well....comical to say the least. So the SS is here to stay, come hell or high water. Now being as I already achieved most everything I wanted to achieve with it, I was rather content with it the last 6 months or so. But since i've decided to hang on to it, i've put a few more small plans for it into the works for this coming spring/summer.

First off, i'll be buying an SS/TC front lip. As many of you know in the past, I was originally not a fan of the lip. But after bottoming out my front bumper in a parking garage last month and getting some annoying scratches on the part of the bumper where it curves up from the bottom, I put alot of thought into the lip, and decided to go ahead and get one. Also, alot of friends and forum members have been suggesting that to me for ages now, so maybe for once i'll stop being stubborn and take some friendly advice. Plus, the fact that I can actually get a pre-painted white lip now also swayed my decision in favor of one.

Next, a ZEX wet kit (55-75 adjustable shot). My car has seen very little of the track since i've owned it, and I aim to change that. Its got 53k on it, and its only gonna go downhill from here, so I feel I should get a few timeslips in before I retire it entirely from racing. To accompany the ZEX kit will be some BFG G-Force t/a drag radials. I plan on practicing with the nitrous over the summer, starting out with a 55 shot, and gradually working up to the 75 shot by the end of the summer hopefully if I feel confident enough. If I have the car properly set up by the end of summer, i'd really love to race it at Imports vs. Domestics at MIR next November. But we'll see what happens.

Also, to accompany the nitrous setup, i'll be buying a remote bottle opener, bottle warmer, Cobalt Addiction steering column gauge pod and an Auto Meter Cobalt series Nitrous pressure gauge.

Lastly, a few little odds and ends. Modern Performance "SS" embroidered flootmatts, since my stocks matts have recieved their fair share of wear and tear, especially the drivers matt, which has a big ass hold from clutch wear. And a black powdercoated valve cover, since the stock valve cover is easily the most un-sightly object under the hood.

And then i'm officially throwing in the towel. I know i've said that before, but this time I mean it. The car has been a money pit over the last two years, and I need to call it quits and begin saving for bigger and better things in life.

So thats it folks. My car is here to stay

Pass. I don't want constant stress on the motor. Its my daily driver and I wanna keep it reliable and keep my fuel economy high.

Plus I don't have $5,000 Nitrous is alot cheaper and the car will remain sleeper.

Will do. Believe me, all precautions will be taken for nitrous. Its my only car, so i'm always extra careful on what I do with it.

Stock 17"s. I found a 225/45/17 BFG drag radial for them.

I was never really "talking" to her. I don't want a girlfriend right now. I made that clear to her from the begining. Honestly, I have too much going on in my life right now to have a girlfriend. Between my car, trying to consolidate debt, working in DC, getting ready to get a house with Jeff/Kris........a girlfriend is the last thing I need right now. I mean don't get me wrong, i'd love to have a girlfriend, but now is just not the time.

Nah, just the dubs.

DR's won't be till spring/summer. Gotta consolidate some debt, then i'm gonna get the ZEX kit and the DR's. My tax return is gonna pay for the SS/TC front lip though.

Thanks Robert

Also, does anyone know where I can go about buying an SS/TC front lip online? I'm sure they sell pre-painted lips somewhere. Or am I gonna have to have this priced out at a dealership?

There isn't any. I just say I want the SS/TC front lip since there was never such a thing as a white SS/SC front lip. But since there are white SS/TCs.....well, you get the point.
