Hey guys, i just bought a stock ss heat exchanger and was wondering if there is any way to like add it on to my stock radiator until i need to use the actualy exchanger. The reason im asking is because im not going supercharged until sometime next year and i just have the time now for winter break and would like to put this thing to use.

 

i could be wrong, but i don't think it will really do anything for you right now man.

just wait and put everything in at the same time.

 

I was thinking about waiting but im not sure if i will even go supercharged in the summer, its all depending on the funds right now.

 

where there is a will there is a way, all you need is sufficient pressure to run coolant to the exchanger and back, on way, maybe find a way to tee off both upper and lower radiator hose and that will allow it to flow too and from the exchanger, wether it will be efficient, or even noticeable i doubt

 

^^ thats not really a good idea. our stock radiator is more than sufficient for cooling. its usually set to let it run on the warm side. This is why the fans wont come on until 225* coolant temps. If you really wanna cool the car, swap to like a 170-175* thermostat and set the fans to turn on at 190*
Just install the stock HE and leave it disconnected from anything

all this would do is limit flow to your radiator and hurt you on the cooling side. Your radiator is a big heat exchanger in itself. skip it until you get supercharged.
