what parts

Hey guys,

i came into about 500 bucks extra and was wondering what parts i should get for my car to get the best bang for the buck.

Over the winter i plan on getting some urethane bushings, cometic head gasket, motor mounts, rods, pistons, h/e, meth, 3" pulley, already got my body kit, new tires, springs/struts.

just wondering for the time being what would be the best bang for the buck would be. any help greatly appreciated.

I would get the Motor mounts and tranny mounts they would be a good start. then y ou could afford the head gasket as well.
rods your looking at 400, and pistons your looking at 600

I would get a new firewall and push back that supercharger, man she's way too close to your fan for your wires to get cut by

i will be adressing that problem this winter when i take the motor out, thinking about trying to find a half rad or something as well cause when i run my lines for the heat exchanger its going to be a even tighter fit. looking at getting a fan that pushes rather than pulls so that the fan wont be as close to the motor.

Meth would be my choice, however you need to be tuned for it for best results, I would look at finding a smashed cobalt ss and get the intercooler pump, bracket, hoses, and heat exchanger off of it. Do this before dropping pulley sizes. Otherwise the increased power in boost will be offset by the massive knock you will get from the increased IAT temps.

I have a meth kit and a 2.79 pulley but that might be a little small for what your looking at.

yah I know what you mean, you never have enough power. I always said gm stage 2 and thats all I would put on the cobalt.

reroute your CAI as we both know that ain't doing much for you lol.

no really tho do as one person said get the parts off that smashed cobalt and get stiffer bushings possibly a shift kit? is it standard or auto?

spend $50 and get "supercharged" on your windshield in bold white letters but thats just my opinion on that

its a 5 speed. i have an actual aem CAI that goes in behind the headlight/bumper that i just havent installed.

im putting a black piece of vinyl on my windshield, IMO i think those window banners that say stuff are tacky. but i do intend on getting 2 more of the little badges that says supercharged on them. i have one already. im going to place one on each front fender and one in the lower corner of the trunk.

Its a GM Performance part upgrade so, it fits and installs perfect, plus its designed by GM so you dont run into problems down the line as far as reliability. Turbo would net him alot more power but I quess its a balance of performance and reliability he was after.

Kit looks stock under the hood.

P.S Chads meth kit is a Devils Own Progressive kit. Its also trunk mounted like mine, but his tank holds much more!
