aftermarket rear brake replacement paid by GM?????

Someone mentioned in a thread about our rear brakes, that if the parts to fixing a car are not available in a reasonable period of time that you can have them pay for aftermarket parts. Further looking into my packet of books that came with my car, i found in the limited warranty and owner assistance information booklet(thinner than the owners manual), that in emergencies you can have GM pay for aftermarket parts and labor. In paragraph 2 under the heading "Maintenance and repair" on page 28 (i have the g/f's G6 manual, maybe a different page in the cobalts one) that an emergency is; "A part not being available withing 10 days or a repair not being completed within 30 days constitutes an emergency."

I'm throwing this out here cause im sure someone wants to throw on a nice set of aftermarket rotors and some better pads. My only concern is my lack of knowledge in this mechanical area as most brake part sites don't have much on the SS/TC. So if any one has a solution (rotors and pads) by all means post it up, i'm very interested. Thanks guys

Brembos are only on the fronts. The rears are getting chewed up prematurely so this info definately helps. Thank you.

I havent been able to verify it yet 100% but I think that the Brembo rotor #25814 might fit....the only reason it might not is the offest may be different
