Factory 10" sub upgrade?

I know this is kinda silly. Just wasnt sure if anyone knows if you can find a way to make the factory sub a little more powerful? I know its really underpowered. If there is a way to bridge it from factory to juice it up a little? I love the way it sounds but everyone that i take for a ride in my can never tell theres a "SUB" in it.....

LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS!

I really like the stereo in the SS. I know you can do better aftermarket, but for a factory stereo ours is damn good! I know it seems obvious, but have you set your bass/mid/treble settings? I mean, the instant my 11 year old heard my stereo, he says "there's a sub in it?" It is a decent sounding sub, and the imaging I think is quite good ( again, for factory). I've been a musician my whole life, and I think I'm pretty picky too!

There is a how-to on putting in a different sub in the stock box with little modification.

i like our sub too but in the end, i still think i'd like to have a little more BUMP in my trunk......i swear in the past i've seen threads about upping the power on the stock sub somehow but i could be wrong......

yeah i have adjusted the settings. i think i have been spoiled by my wifes 2006 eclipse with a
650 watt factory sterio system. That thing blew my mind... LOL i know this is funny but rap songs sound good in the cobalt.. however, I HATE RAP! some of the rock songs just dont feel like they did i the eclipse. I know there is a way to juice it up a little from factory. i wonder where the factory amp is located?

yeah that would be awesome to get a little more sound out of it. Come on guys what can we do?!?!

They are good speakers for a sports car although pioneer isnt the best quality. If u really want a system, Go with a kenwood 10". You need an AMP but im pretty sure u know that. You might want to replace the door panel speakers as well for a crispy clean knock'n system.

that 13.56 is still under speculation whether or not he was running a 50shot of nitrous at the time

depends on the driver. i say maybe 13.4, 13.3. Depends on the tune as well. computer tuned?, or the Gm tune comming out. either way it should be well under 13.5

possibly in the high 12's i think, but like i said, it depends on the driver. most people would probably just see low 13's

now gm stage kit+tune+CAI. Then i say mid 12's, maybe less
