BlazinBaltSS Blew his cobalt up

hey guys today i was going down the interstate and i lost 10lbs of boost and only had like 6 pounds of boost. so i popped the hood and there was oil all over the passanger side of the engine and the superchargerand was on the hood. So in other words shes blown somewhere now time for rebuild i guess i think its just a head gasket because there is oil and coolant mixed toether in my intake but not in my dipstick so its kind of wierd. So i guess u guys want me to rebuild a bad balt lol.
Engine rebuild picks on page 3

Were you at WOT when this happened or just cruising? I would be really shocked if you were just driving around out of boost and blew the motor....

Edit: Just re-read that, since you "lost 6lbs of boost" you had to be in boost lol. Sorry to hear about that. Winter time is the WRONG time to be doing WOT highway pulls.

i hit on it about ten minues before it blew and so far its just the head gasket from all i can see it busted by the number one cylinder on the passanger side and oil went on the belt and pulley and flung it everywhere but i still havent took it apart. but it ran. when we brought the tow truck to tow it tonight we turned it on and it was throwing little black smoke and popping but not to bad so hopefully the head is the only problem because i know thats one thing that is wrong because there is coolant and oil mixed together. plus the engine ligh is on and it says low coolant. i was like wow u think haha. figures im 18 try to supe up a car and **** it up ha. oh well it will be fixed soon i will take it apart soon. Oh another good thing is there is no oil in the cylinders from what i could see through the spark plugs and also there is no hole in the block.SOO like i said tthree times i hop its just a head gasket. it might even be the crank. but lets not jump to conclusions here haha. i have pictures but my usb cord is in my parents room so i will have to wait till morning

Sucks to hear that. This is one of the reasons we recommend a 3.0" and no meth over 2.7. Same or more power, less risk.

Wait a second... Zooomer your trying to say that a 3.0 and no meth is going to beat out a 2.7+meth?? Doubt it. Methanol helps keep your motor from blowing if anything. The 2.7inch pulley is pretty small, I wouldn't go under a 2.8 unless I absolutely had to. Still though, theres no way a 3.0 is going to beat out a 2.7 and meth in power.

looks to me like hes saying 3.0 + no meth > 2.7

although to reach the same power levels with less risk i would think 3.0 + meth > 2.7 + no meth would make more sense
