i want seafoam but i cant get to the vac hose ..its under so many other hoses and wires that i just cant fit my hands through it.. ANY SUGGESTIONS??????

cut all the other wires, then when your done mix and match hoses/wires for best results

lol, you don't have to go off the brake booster line... it just a perferred location i haven't gotten the chance to do this yet on my vehicle i will probably this sunday... but i'm not sure where i'll hook into the system at.

fuel injection cleaner service recommended every 50k... seafoam is basically the same thing... i believe in preventative matenience so jaydub in 10 years when your coby is in its 5th owners hands and its got deposits that no one can fix and has to have a new motor, mine which will probably still be in my hands cause it has no problems... will be running probably 200K in miles and prrrring like the day she left the chevy dealership.

btw your solution to brake booster, i seafoamed my car today... and yes it needed it it white smoked like a mother for only 7k miles on the vehicle, if it wasn't dirty it wouldn't have smoked... so you tell me a 06 doesn't need to be cleaned? how often do you wash your car?

solution is this...if you have an aftermarket intake it'll be easier, but basically remove the intake from the tb just let it sit ontop of it so that the car will not die when you start it. start the car let it get warm... put a funnel into the tb wedge it between the intake and the tb, car should still be running and pour 1/3 of the can into the tb SLOWLY, if you pour it to fast it'll cause the car to choke and die. so just a lil bit at a time until the 1/3 of the can is gone. then get in the car and rev it every few seconds until all the smoke goes away.

if your a 2.2l pop your oil cap and pour 7.5 ounces directly into the oil, perferably after a oil change, pour one whole can into the gas tank. and then do 5.3 ounces which is 1/3 into the tb. thats the full seafoam service.

you said there is no point to seafoam a new car, and there is, its preventative maintenence... your basically using other version of the same thing... seafoam is a gas stabilizer, and cleaner, a fuel injector cleaner, etc...

which brand you choose to use doesn't matter at long as your doing it... seafoam would recommend 3 - 4k miles if they didn't feel it was the best benefit.

as far as the other person that says oil manufactures recommend 3k miles thats been proven in numerious other threads were people have done oil test, 3k miles is the best time to change the oil...

x2, but i beg to differ on it being pointless its preventative mostly for newer cars.

get two cars same milage one that has done seafoam every 3-4k miles and one that hasn't tear them down and tell me its pointless.

I did my 05, and don't tell me i didn't get anything out of it :lol: i did it at work, and almost shut down the highway with all the smoke that came out of the engine.

I do not use that stuff with a catalytic converter, it can plug it up especially if you use it on an engine that has more than 20,000 miles and it had never been done before. It will break off big chunks of carbon and lodge in the cat. If it were good for the engine, GM would have had it in the service section of the owners manual. The factory, if they have a carbon build up problem they will remove the spark plug, go to tdc on that cylinder, and pour a special decarbonizer in it, let it set for a while and with the plug still out they crank the engine a few time catching the stuff on a rag as it spits out of the hole.

I myself use Techron fuel injector cleaner every other oil change. Cat friendly!!!!
