Quick question about meth mixture!!
I was at canadian tire last night and i noticed they have something like distilled water and its in a 3.78L just like windshield washer fluid. I read the back and it said that its for diluting coolant and four use in batteries and household clothing irons. It doesnt have build up like regular tap water. Not for human consumption.
My question: Would it be safe to use this for my 50/50 mixture for meth injection kit? Im buying my 3.78L jug of meth at the irving. I figured if it was safe to use i would pick up a case of the water at $1.99 for a jug or maybe even a couple cases?
Let me know asap!

Just go to Shoppers Drug Mart and buy a 4L jug of Distilled Water, its like $1.89, then go to Home Depot or Canadian Tire and buy a 4L jug of Methanol or Methal Hydrate, exact same thimg and way cheaper

They act as an octane booster and they give you lower iat2 temps...And no they arent just for superchargers, i have seen them for naturally aspirated vehicles...
well u could always run surpreme with meth in your car it's cheap now!!! accually looking forward to april if prices stay down!!!
and yeah i'm new to this stuff but i believe it's shot into your intake cooling the air down which in return more horsepower!!
correct me if i'm wrong
surpreme won't do anything for my car it was designed to run on regular and surpreme just means im dumping more money for nothing (ive tried running surpreme, aside from cleaning the engine every so often it doesn't do anything but take my money) mind you when I pay off my car and have the money to install the turbo I want to do to it then supreme will make a difference
yes when I ran my meth kit with my 2.8" pulley i never got over 140 degrees F during a 3 gear wot run, even during the hot summer days.....the summer before I would be over 170 degrees F without meth and a H/e. The bump in octane and tuning is where you see most of the gains, but yes it keeps the IAT2 temps under control during a WOT run, makes no difference just cruising around becuase the meth kit only engages at wot.
are you still out west ryan? just wondering if you or greg could install my pulley/hub and injectors and a tune. no rush or anything :P maybe i will pick up a meth kit too and get tuned for that at the same time. i'll make it worth your while $$ hah
dealer? heck I have enough time trying to find the right parts for my car let alone issues with a dealer remb mine ain't no cobalt 90% of my parts come from the dealer sadly ive already spent $700 on barely anything just to get rid of a noise lol and $130 on a cv joint cause the boot was $115 lol so it was cheaper to buy the whole unit lol.

It's actually preferable to use distilled water in alky/water injection systems. The distillation process removes the minerals commonly found in tap water that can build up and clog nozzles, damage pumps, etc. Unless you have a water softener, imagine all the hard water spots and calcium buildup you get in your shower from tap water also doing the same thing to your water injection system.
As already mentioned you also want to use it for your engine cooling system. The Havoline DEX-COOL that GM uses like most other modern coolants is designed to neutralize acid and other contaminants and will react to the minerals in tap water. If you try to do the extended drain intervals on DEX-COOL and have filled it up using tap water it will cause the coolant to break down much faster and turn into the sludge-o'-death it's commonly known for becoming. As for the battery usage, if you have an older type of non-sealed battery that you have to top off occasionally you want to use distilled water because the minerals in tap water can react to the hydrochloric acid in the battery, build up on, then damage the lead and zinc plates in the battery.
At least here in the US, nearly every major grocery store chain carries gallon jugs (3.78L) of distilled water in the bottled water/beverage section and it's usually cheaper than the jugs available at automotive parts and other stores. It's the exact the same thing and is just a super "filtered" water (using a distillation process that heats and evaporates the water which then condenses on the distillation container and drains back into a collection device leaving the minerals behind). The stuff you buy at grocery stores is bottled in containers meeting health standards and the water itself is perfectly safe to drink but your body just doesn't get the required minerals and trace elements it does from normal water.

Pm me and we can arrange to get you set up with the injectors and tuneIt's actually preferable to use distilled water in alky/water injection systems. Exactly whaat I was told as well when I ran my meth kit
Great explanation of why to use distilled water over tap water

Im possibly gonna need a tune in the spring, but gonna have to wait and see. How much do you charge? I might be putting all my plans on hold because me and the gf are looking at buying a house, so if we do that, there will be no money for the cobalt. Atleast not for a few years...LOL
