2009 Car Show Season

Hey all...seems early, but soon enough it will be time to shine up those Balts and bring em to the shows! Just wondering how many of you out there still kept your Cobalts, I know a few of you traded them in on new whips, but what shows are you attending this year? This could possibly be the last year for the Cobalt for me, so to the best of my ability, I'd like to mod her up nice for one last year, and then part her out The boyfriend and I used to go to a lot of the NOPI series in the northeast, but I havn't heard word on whether or not they're bringing the series back this year. Does anyone know? What other shows are going on this year? Thanks!

Only shows I know I definitely will be attending...

TunerWars/Motorama, Harrisburg, PA - February 21-22, 2009

Carlisle Performance and Style, Carlisle, PA - May 8-10, 2009

OC Car & Truck Show, Ocean City, MD - June 6-7, 2009

boooooooo car shows

i highly doubt i'll show the cobalt this year..... i really enjoyed just hanging out last year and not worry about detailing my car the night before or registering. so i'll most likely just show up and show my support for the Cobalts

mine doesn't get too dirty, i clean it at the show, or before heading to the show that morning i run it through the carwash, shammy it, then wax it at the show...

Good list Cheryl!!! We'll def. be at Tuner War, Carlisle and OC...other than that we may have to scale back on the shows/modding a lil bit for this season. We got engaged on xmas eve (yaaay!) and well wedding are not CHEAP! haha But yeah the shows we do go to we should most likely have both cars!

The models are the best part of the shows....and if they're modeling on a cobalt it's even better.

awww omg congrats!! To be honest, I'm not sure if Jake and I will be going to as many shows this year either. The S2K is going up for sale this year, so when its gone, its gone. We'll still have my cobalt, but ya know. We'd like to save up for a house, so we need to start saving more money, unfortunately. It's a part of getting older, priorities change haha.
We'll still go to most shows, I hope.

not to be ignorant but..... are you 16? there is a reason they call it a CAR SHOW and not a strip club. you want to check out sweet cars and do car related things..... go to a CAR SHOW.... if you want to check out slutty bitches (that's what most of them are) go to a strip club. these models now a days are just ruining car shows. yea they look sexy and are fun to look at but seriously, grow up and attend a CAR SHOW for what it's main purpose..... to check out sweet rides.

i'm sorry if i "jumped" on you, but this is one of my few reasons i've stopped showing my car or going to car shows. i'd much rather go to a classic car show than ******* Nopi or HIN.... it should be ALL about the cars.... not the skanks that are basically naked

unfortunately this year, i dont think i will be showing as much with my cobalt. ive taken 2 back to back national titles for NCCA and there is nothing else i want to do to this car as i will soon either be selling the cavalier and buying new or will have the new camaro by february or march of this year if they deliver as promised. chances are...very good chance, im going to be downgrading and selling some used parts soon. its kind of iffy...but looking more and more like this is happening. the cars been on the circuit 3 yrs and has dominated. i cant do much more.
ill probably still hit locals...but the car will now be my every day driven car.

i may go to the harrisburg show. i was kind of disappointed with the last harrisburg show though. it was cool. but really tiny and prolly only 75-100 cars showed up. as i thought it would be way bigger then that, as hyped up as it was.
