Does a shorty antenna have the same radio reception as stock antenna?

i was just wandering this, bc i've seen on peoples signatures that a lot of people have one of these and they look pretty cool, but i was just wandering if it affected anything before i bought one. thanks

It's a little worse in terms of reception compared to stock, but not terrible. It's noticeable, though.

i cut mine down to 8 inches and my reception is fine on all of my 6 preset's except 1

well it all depends on where you live too... certain towns with my stock antenna it blew so it doesnt help having a shorty

my general area gets great reception so theres no issue with running the ARK

my ark is ****, i almost get no reception even in the city... but i like the way it look so i keep it for shows and such.

XM still comes in perfect!!! j/k, but really i hate most radio stations so i can't even tell you my reception is for AM/FM. Strictly listen to XM, something like $140 for a year isn't bad.

get an ipod and use the aux input if you have on

well i hardly listen to the radio..its ussually an mp3 cd or mp3 player so i dont notice...mine is just for looks...but i love my ARK shorty

^yea just cut it. I think theres even a how to on it. Just cut it, then just put a little black cap on top. Check the how-to section

haha ok...i think i'll just buy the ARK, i don't care about radio anyways
