ss/sc vs speed6/hemi 5.7 r/t / srt-8

a few of my friends have the cars listed above, magnum/charger r/t, mazdaspeed6, and a chrysler 300c SRT-8. i was wondering how my car would do against them with mods im putting in, im not letting these guys know that im modding my car, and i dont think the guy with the mazdaspeed6 would notice just by listening to the sound of the car. o raced the speed6 already, it was close but he won, the r/ts pulled on me from a 40 roll by a few cars, and the SRT-8, dont even ask...
im modifying my car in stages (06 ss/sc). first im putting in an injen cai. torque dampener and a magnaflow catback full exhaust.

1. i know i can't take on the srt-8 yet, but how would i do against the speed6 and r/ts from a 40 roll.

the second stage of my mods: 2.7' pulley, 1 step colder ngk spark plugs, gm shortened belt, 60 lb injectors, injector wiring harness, and a tune(7000rpms redline) 17.5 psi.

2. can i take on the srt-8 with these mods??

well the race started at about 40mph going onto the highway, i was going all out (bone stock) and he was right on my ass but not gaining, so i was thinking his car can't be that much faster than mine, at about 90 he switched 2 lanes over and just blew by me pulling about 4 or 5 cars before 130 where i started to slow down. he was toying with me...

Lol oh try a 3rd gear pull that's how I was racing the guy and he would pull little by little but yea those are fast stock can imagine how they are modify lol but as soon as you mod your car get a good tune others should get smoked but the srt 8 would be a fun match record it when you do it lol

dude ill have all sorts of vids when we do this race, its gonna be during the summer tho, vids from the srt and from my car, and a chase car, maybe the speed6, ill set something up. i have a feeling the srt-8 would start to pull above 120, maybe headers on my list of mods would make it even?? or maybe i would win, doe sanyone have experience with srt-8s and these mods?? lol

tony how much horsepower do you have at the wheels?

we cut off at 50. it was on surface streets and the speed limit was 40, so we shut down.

as far as SRT8's go, they run like high 12's i think....so you'd have a LOT of trouble hitting those times in a sssc. an sstc would be better off.

Not sure I use have a tune before and I dynoed at 250 to the wheel and I detuned it thinking I would get my warranty back cause I needed the dealer to work on the car but they wouldn't touch it even wheni took off the tune

ye i would love to have an ss/tc i have 15 months left on my lease tho , the srt-8s run 13.2 at best on street tires, still very fast. i was thinking to race from a roll, maybe a 40.

i did have one race where i was left in the dust worse than with the srt-8. one of my friends has a 1991 r32 skyline gt-r with 500+ awhp. i would tell you how many cars he pulled, but i lost site of him on the highway, so its impossible to tell. we started at a 50 roll. his car weighs 3100 lbs no driver, mine weighs about 2950, so around the same weight but he has 2 1/2 times the whp, do the math lol

ye a 2000 r34 would be nice, there's no conversion kit to mask it like the sylvia's have, (s13, s15) so tho cops would know its illegal right away. where i live it has to be a 15 yr old import. thats why my friend has a 91

i was just reading through your kills, and i saw the sti stock, what year is it, was it a close race?

I'm only stage 2 and i've taken a MS3(Stock) and a Chrystler 300 w/ 5.7(at least an Exhaust) Both from 40-50mph Rolls.... So it Doesn't Take much to pull those cars but the SRT-8 on the other hand. Good Luck.

Stock SRT 8s run mid 13s, with minor bolt ons, they are in the 12s
