how much $$$

How much would it run for a built bottom end and keeping the stock crank? i am debating for a built motor in the future.
My friend with an EVO9 just built his motor keeping it 2.0 but it revs to about 9500. of course it has everything else to support it.
can our motors be built to rev that high with built head and supporting mods??

i'ld say 2-4k depending on what you want to do, thats just for the bottom end though WITHOUT modifying the stock crack

Man i would not build the bottom end unless i put a good crank in it.Why put all that money in it and still have a weak crank,If that breakes you spent all that money for nothing. Put a crank in you will feel better about it.How much hp are you wanting, you will not pick up any hp by building the bottom end.I would just have the head ported, put cams in it,that would add about 40 whp.And it would be cheaper.

From what I understand the stock crank is strong enough to where chances are most likely the OP wont be making enough problems to have to worry about it.

Rods about $800.00 Pistons about $800.00,bearings about $100.00,balance rotating assembly ,gaskets, someone to install roating assembly about another $1000.00.There is a bunch of hidden charges,If your not going over 400 hp just build the top end, cooling mods, more boost, cams, fully ported head,lt4 throttle body tune, you will be happy.
