Just that. How much did you pay for your SS/TC? New or used, full options or none, how much? I ask because I am considering trading up, but and curious as to how low people are able to get their dealers down to. Thanks for anyone that responds!

I picked mine up for $18,990 (2009 Cobalt SS, rally yellow, ebony/gray seats, LSD, RPD, sunroof, premium stereo). It was a GM program car used for display purposes at shopping malls and sporting events. It only has 107 miles and full warranty. It has a couple scuffs on the lower inside door panel from people getting in and out of the car, but for the price I can live with it.

$22,500 in early August... but by time time you added in the extended 7yr/75k mile warranty(like $1400) and gap insurance(not sure the exact cost on it), my loan was around $25,000

I advise getting gap at the minimum and I figured I might as well have a warranty the entire time I'm paying on the car so I went with the extended warranty... also why I am going to go tame with the mods

without gap, you can get yourself in a mess, or should I say, someone else wrecking you can even get yourself in a mess... I have a friend who just totaled a '07 F-150 Lariat, he's about $8,000 in the negative right now for lacking gap insurance... So when he buy a $10,000 car, it suddenly going to be an $18,000 car, and I don't even know what the bank is going to about it, he's pretty much screwed, as they aren't going to loan $18,000 on a $10,000 vehicle... So he is still making payments on a totaled truck

Dumb luck mostly. Dealership that was selling it didn't have it advertised anywhere. Cobalt SS TC is a pretty specific car.

Final negotiated price, $16,900 for my '09 SS Sedan. I don't have the sticker in front of me, but I have everything but leather and the LSD.

Sticker was a shade over $24K, final price was after the internet deal I got from the dealer, which included the Red Tag price deal going on in November, plus $1500 in GM rebates, $500 from the Illinois Farm Bureau, and $3500 from my GM Card (the original one that lets you use all of the accumulated points). The sales rep said that the manager made him run the numbers through the system twice to make sure all of my rebates were usable on one deal.

And then I got another $300 from Citibank from the Drivers Edge card (used to be the Ford rebate card). When I pinch a penny, there's nothing but copper dust left after I'm done. That was a separate check after I sent in the proof that I bought a vehicle.

I sprung for an extended warranty, so after that plus sales tax, title, plates, etc, total financed was about $19,000.

For all the talk of how bad the economy and sales were right before Thanksgiving, I found it interesting that I was one of two sales that morning. And I was only at the dealership for about 3 hours, total.

I paid 19,500 before ttl. By the time I got suckered into the tire and bumper to bumper warranty extension I think it was 22 OTD.
