my balt is a daily driver here in chicago, the salt sucks, but my beef is with the sub zero temps, the cars suspension is wayy firmer at arctic temps... Its like having another car when it warms back up to 30s...

the salts kinda fun when you go wot in 2nd and 3rd

Just brought mine to the car wash today and its already getting covered again. Its a good car wash though, they do the undercarriage wash and then spray on a rust inhibitor. After the body gets washed and waxed it gets a clear coat protectant.

Those automatic washes are sooo bullshit.

Anywho, mine is covered from the top of the roof to the bottom of my doors in that ******* ****. I washed it five days ago too. It's just not worth it, but I know I should be washing it to keep my clear coat safe. I guess I'm gonna be shining the **** out of it in Spring!!

We had ice last Tuesday (Texas) and the stuff they put down is still all over the place, but it's dry now and they say it's going to take a few weeks to sweep it all up.
No rain any time soon to wash it off the roads.
Still not as bad as it will be later in the year when the bugs come out as far as having to wash the car a lot.

Be sure to wash out those wheelwells, and get down on the ground with that hose/pressure washer and spray off the undercarriage too! The brakes also deserve a de-salting.

Under the hood, just douse aluminum surfaces with WD-40. It won't hurt a thing, and it really arrests corrosion on the engine, trans, PCM, you name it.

Spray the radiator and intercooler hard too...this corrosive substance loves to just sit in there and eat your stuff alive!
