Talking New best in my Z

I'm still at the track else I'd post up the slip but I just pulled a 13.476 @ 103.87. My Z is still bone stock btw. The weather is absolutely great. Hoping to get even lower. As soon as I get home I'll post the slips

Thanks guys. It seems that's going to stay my best today. The temps picked up a lot. Its 70* now. I'm stuck in the upper 13.50's now

My guess would be the 350z. I think the g35's are heavier.

from what I've seen and heard, g35's are a 100lbs or so heavier. And the Z is not only faster in a straight line, but faster in the twisties as well.

congrats on the new best ozzy!

Stock tires or DRs?

Nice times! I wish I was at a lower altitude.

Yupp mine is 100% stock. I can't afford to mod it yet. I'm really happy with how it runs stock. My first set of mods are going to be Berk hiflow cats, Bassani catback, Injen true CAI, and the Cobb AP Tuner. It should pick up a pretty good chunk of whp with those, but thats probably a year away or so. I need to finish building my 300ZX.

Also bump for pics of 3 best time slips. In 1st post!

I'd love to race you (on friendly terms just to see what'd happen). You'd most likely hurt me from a dig, all day every day. From a roll would be interesting I think.

Great runs man!

I'm always down for friendly competition. Its just to bad your way up there and I'm way down here. I agree though I think the TC would give it to me from a roll with no problem. The TC's seem to trap a bit higher than the Z. I've had traps vary from 101 to 104, it seems to be very weather dependent.

Thats one of the fastest times I've seen for a STOCK 350z.. Looks like Drag radials though... I also think you have some extra horsies under the hood (it takes about 20hp extra to cut the kind of time and spd you ran) with that kind of mph in the quarter....

I've been racing cars and bikes for 20 years......... Had a 2006 350Z
, Vettes a 06' Z06 a few SS Z28's, M5 BMW SRT4 Neon, C32 AMG.....Ninja ZX12R and Busa 1300R...

The new 370Z testing here in Az (in cool Nov air) was running 13.6 at 104 in manual tranny form and 14.3 @ 102 in auto form. This new Z is also 80 lbs lighter...but not really going to make much difference.

I've beat many stock 350z's and automatic new mustang GT's with my Ss\TC when it was new and stock, but not by much....... now I walk away from bolt-on z's and GT's... I'm bolt-on now too....

In fact I've tied my buddy in his 420 bhp 350Z\SC.... He hooks better with his DR's ( no DRs around for the TC).... I spin the tires in first and second, catch him just past the 1\8th and put quarter of a car on him at the 1\4 line.... He runs 12.6 and 7's at 108-109.. When he was stock on street tires he ran 14.2 at 100... << about what the best times are in any magazine that has run the Z. (his Z is a M6)

I'm not sure what all you've seen in your 20 years of racing but its obvious you haven't seen any decently driven HR's run. This pass is ok, there are faster stock times than this one.

My car is as stock as it can be. Factory potenzas, paper Nissan air filters, factory exhaust, etc. No drag radials or slicks. I drive it to the track, race then drive it back home.

Do I need to take pictures of everything to verify? Or how about video? That's a little harder to fake...

Liar! I bet you have a K&N drop in filter. That's what makes your car so fast.
