ls4 tb calibration

I bought a brand new ls4 throttle body from a monte carlo ss. i put it on and my friend did the scaler so that it would idle but the tb doesnt work it just stays at 24 percent throttle all the time. i know that some electronic tb have to be calibrated so i had a friend ask a gm tech about it that he knew and he said that you can do it with hp tuners. is this true or do i have to bring it to the dealership. my friend with hptunners has the same tb but off a used car and his works perfect. thanks for the help

do you have a spacer for it? It can't open fully without it

i bored the blower out so that it would fit so its not a clearance issue

it doesnt idle at all? or is it idling high? or is it a normal idle but X gauge says its at 24% throttle position? or is the idle bouncing around?

Maybe your friend put the wrong value in for the scaler area?

it idle really high and the throttle plate doesnt move when you press the pedal, it just stays in the same place

that honestly sounds like a wiring issue if the throttle doesnt even mode when pressing the gas. Either that, or the little motor inside that moves the throttle is dead. Does the throttle blade ever move at all? like at startup?

what?? Mine is at 4500....

BTW I had almost the same problem....look at your DTC and see if you are throwing any throttle codes. i got one off e-bay and it was a dud. Fortunately I was able to return it and got another one. Works fine except it's really touchy.

there is a reason why i suggested 4950. chances for idle surge are dropped a smidge

give it a shot and see what happens. can't hurt it. all it affects if the closing rate of the throttle body itself. on cammed 07's this table is very handy to control that speed

yea i took the blade out and ported it. i work at a lincoln dealership and i know if you move the throttle plate with your finger on our cars it can throw a code. but ive never heard of it ruining the whole throttle body. so do you think thats what happened
