My insurance quoted me 300 a month for a Mazda 3 so I started to laugh.. Then I asked them how much a cobalt SS/SC would be and they said 220... I said ok let me go buy it first.

I doubt if the SS is the cheapest to insure. Maybe the base 4 door.

I pay $116 a month.

$109/month with 3 speeding tickets (Nationwide). They told me there was no difference in the rate listed on their computer between the base model and the SS (last year). I was paying $98/month to start and it recently went up to the $109/month, so I'm not sure if it is because of the tickets, or because they caught on about the SS having better performance over the other models.

Its cheap depending on how old you are, how many accidents you've been in, if your car has the side impact airbags, and whatever else insurance could jack your prices up on yah. I pay about 240 for my SS/SC.

Wow, I'm only paying $99 a month with State Farm with full coverage. I also insure my mini-van & house with them.

My insurance company told me it was the same price no matter much Cobalt I got, base, or SS/SC, coupe or four door. It's not that way for every car though

I pay about $125 a mnth for full coverage on SS/SC. I guess its not too bad, payment also includes a special health insurance policy.
