Lets See Your Rotors!

hey does anyone have pics of there big brakes (slotted,drilled etc) with the wheels on too that would be sweet getting some new brakes soon just want to c everbody elses

i have an ls so if any ls have sweet brakes post!

Maybe post in the suspension section. Brakes seem to be lumped in with suspension for some reason.

I think the slots make it so that they dont get as hot as OEM rotors, reducing brake dust and stuff......could be wrong.

slotted and drilled let the gasses and brake dust escape from between the pad and rotor. thus making the pad bite harder and stop better. and sound like a helicopter on the brakes because of the slots

Terrible picture, I know. Old pic, but I still have the same wheels/rotors.

I felt like I posted pics of my brakes before

and out of curiosity why do some pics have the "cobaltss.net" tag at the bottom and some don't?? I host mine here and they dont have it.

x2 i have 18's on mine and everytime i look at the rotors i'm like what the **** somethings missing that's why i m glad i got d/s rotors and steel braided brake lines those stock front disk rear drum wasn't workin can't wait to get better pads so my brake setup will be complete. oh and to op sorry im an ls and don't have pics maybe if tomorrows nice enough i ll clean em up and try to take a pic to post

I've seen them both directions. If it matters on direction it has to do with the fins inside the rotor. So its manufacturer specific really. Like mine do the other way.

Air is supposed to be drawn out of the rotors, not forced in as far as I know.

You could be right. I will try to get some clarification. Im thinking it depends on the manufacturer as well.

The rears look right. Weren't they marked for left and right on the box? I just got some cross drilled rotors and they are in separate boxes marked left and right.
