shift light

I was reading the owners manual and i noticed it had a paragraph about the "up-shift light". I can see the light for it, its on the opposite side of the fog indicator. I tried messing with the car settings in the info center to see if i could turn it on. How can you turn it on?

well.. it does not work on your SS/TC cause the light itself will not work.. it's a upshift light on 2.2's and 2.4's to get the best gas mileage

huh? well from what I understand, the shift light is only equiped for models originally intended for sale in the us. perhaps yours was originally intended for sale in canada, where the shift lights are not activated (don't ask why, I don't know)

Not in the 2.4s.

The 2.4s come on at redline.

You could get an interceptor.

For a 2009, if you have the RPD option, you can program the shift lights on the display.

Maybe you got a US model with the Canadian flash 'cause we don't have a shift light on our model .

Only the 2.2L's have a working shift light. It's meant for best gas mileage, period. The higher models share the same gauge cluster just a different overlay thats why you can still see it but it won't light up unless you somehow over rev.

I already have the raptor for my Z.
Since I will only race the Cobalt a few times, i figured I could hook it up for a few track days.
