Typical cost of getting a cobalt ss/tc tuned?
Hey i live in MA and was just wondering what the typical price of getting an SS T/C dyno tuned would be and where there are shops around here that do it?
trifecta performance dyno tunes remotely for $300 usually, but this tune goes through clearimage https://www.trifectaperformance.com/...r/default.aspx
Just ordered trifecta tune
I just ordered one, I can't wait, Just got off the phone with Vince. They are real personal at clear image and I'm liking that, plus, There stuff seems to be almost half price if not more than Hahn's with the same or better quality. I guess a downpipe will probably be the next thing on my list once I get tuned, and I'll add more and more bolt ons from there.
Woah WOah WOah. Before you do that. What your buying is a canned tune. They make it up so it kind of fits every car but it's not perfectly tailored to your car.
I live in New Bedford and I can tune your Cobalt for less than that and I will do it for your car specifically. And if you wanted to go to the and get dyno tuned Fred @ SMG Motoring will do it in Milford. You get a lot more when you have a tune custom fitted to your car, which is safer and you get more power. Not to mention it's instant.
I would say cancel your order right now and look into a custom tune. Ask anyone on the sight who tunes weather or not it's better to buy a canned tune or get a custom tune. They will all tell you the same thing.

them's fightin' words, no, trifecta is not a canned tune. Trifecta starts with your stock tune, obtained from GM, then they adjust it to your mods within safe limits. Then they datalog your car's parameters, using your car as a mobile dynamometer. You send in the datalog and they adjust your tune again, you repeat until done.
Would you use a Trifecta tune over a custom computer tune?
It's great for what it is. But, when custom computer tuning is available there is no reason to spend more money to get a product that is still not as good.

You can beat $250 I usually tune for credits alone because it's fun for me. That's $100... no profit. SMG would take a profit but that would be a dyno tune.
It's not the same... at all. You should all know that.

so what if your customers wanna return back to stock, wouldnt they have to pay you again?

I don't have customers. I don't sell anything, I would just be willing to tune this kid to save him some cash.
SMG Motoring is a shop in Milford that specializes in Ecotec tuning. Fred there is a professional tuner that is cheaper than Trifecta and will put you on a dyno while he tunes.
I don't care though I'm sure that the guy who made this thread is not even reading it anymore. I was just looking out to try to save him some money and give him more power. There is no problem with more slow Cobalts running around.

why do you have to bash every tuning company you don't support, I don't go around bashing HP tuners, and they tune the same way we do, by the way, stop spreading lies about other tuning companies, it's getting old
so how many runs on the dyno?
