I know what you mean .But i looked at it this way with the extra power we are going to be making the stock axles will break,and when they do more than likley they will break the tranny case that would suck.

I gotta be honest, I'm a little upset. We waited and waited for the GB pricing on the axles, during which time I could have bought another set for $569 from another vendor that was running a special. I didn't mention the other vendor out of respect for OTTP. Now the group price is out - $700 - and the other vendor's deal is over. $700 is discounted from the $799 MSRP, but waiting for this deal just cost me $130. For teh record guys, that's not cool. I'll be holding off on the axles for a minute 'cuz I'm kinda pissed, mounts paid for.

hey fast98, how long are you going to be doing this? you said 3 weeks but any particular date?

I gotta be honest, I'm a little upset. We waited and waited for the GB pricing on the axles, during which time I could have bought another set for $569 from another vendor that was running a special. I didn't mention the other vendor out of respect for OTTP. Now the group price is out - $700 - and the other vendor's deal is over. $700 is discounted from the $799 MSRP, but waiting for this deal just cost me $130. For teh record guys, that's not cool. I'll be holding off on the axles for a minute 'cuz I'm kinda pissed, mounts paid for.

I realize guys are doing what you can, I realize you're offering the best price you can. I'm frustrated because I stated repeatedly that I was holding off on other purchases, etc & so on, it's been covered. Had I not been informed in the now closed RLF thread that pricing would be available at a certain time (I'm sorry we disagree on this, but it was stated that "I have pricing, it will be posted with pics tomorrow") I would have sprung for those axles and a set of LCA mounts that were less than half price as well (now back to full price - another $130 difference). Just frustrated, not downplaying the work you guys have done.

If you'd be willing to work a special deal on a set of B&G coilovers, Progress rear bar, axles and the mounts, PM me; otherwise I'll be piecing together a system with other coilovers and whatnot, and decide on what to do for axles later I guess. Good time for me to jump in on this since they work on lowered cars.

What is the normal price of a stage 2 set? I just found out I have a leeking strut and the money I was going to use is going to fix the strut. I am hoping to get some school refund money in time but I don't think it will happen so I am just wondering how much I am probobly going to loose (my god this sucks on the TVS GB I cracked a tooth and had to use my DP on that to fix it!)

You will be fine with Stage 1. Stage 2 is intended for those who drag race.

As a primary DD you are going to want Stage 1 because Stage 2 has a lot more vibrations.

that is true, good point... but if there is there would be a core charge I assume... I just sent mine in cause it's not currently being used, so I guess I did jump the gun in saying yes it needs to be sent in first...

stage 1= no wheel hope, no vibes, best for DD stage 2= no wheel hope some vibes not as much as polly or smm best for track users. The mounts are a little better than the oem because they are billit alluminum, and I would assume if they came mest up or you can prove they broke because of the designe and not missed used they would replace them or do something, but the warrenty thing would be best answered by them...

I'm trying to figure out at what power level I would need DSS axles if the stage 2 mounts 100% eliminate wheel hop.

If there is no wheel hop, I would assume the stock axles would be safe.

I'll probably end up going with just the stage 2 mounts, but would like some insight on the question.

Trying to decide if I should get Stage 1 or 2 mounts. Definitely getting axles though because the TVS makes me nervous on stockers and I'm not sure how much I'm going to do to the car in the future, so might as well be prepared.

I don't know if you will see 300 on the stock M62. Just go stage 1 and if you do ever get hop from excessive power sell them and get stage 2.

Honestly I can't say. Who's flex do you have? If it's a quality one you shouldn't have this problem on stock mounts.

I'm going to have one fabbed up at a shop, I've just heard about people commonly breaking the flex sections and was wondering if this would be a problem on these mounts as i've been watching these for awhile too. so all in all you're saying a quality flex won't break correct?

No one got bumped, I don't work like that. I shipped the stage 2's out to the first 8 people as thats all we got in. We got in 20 stage 1's and I was able to fill all the stage 1 orders.

if it is as easy as solid mounts, once you know how to do it, it will take about 15 minutes...

just installed my mounts(stg 2)... what a difference, slight vibes but nothing you can't deal with.
car feels so tight, these things are great everyone will enjoy them!

Hey I don't want to be a downer or anything, but I have to be honest, the vibes after install are actually worse than I was expecting. Using the responses of the pioneer's of this product and the vendors comments as a guage, I was expecting the stage 1 mounts to minimize the vibes enough to be similar to what the car rides stock. However, I do not even notice a difference in the vibes from the poly inserts at all. The car starts up a little smoother, but anytime I'm in reverse or low RPMs, interior/dash panels still rattle. I even went through the trouble of taking out the poly i filled my driver's side mount with (under the fuse box). Oddly, the vibes were actually better before I did that, so I may go back and fill that one back in, I was just trying to eliminate all variables.

Having said all that, I will say that the mounts do completely eliminate hop, which even all 3 polys did not do. I am still satisfied with the product, I just feel that the reduction in vibes just may have been exaggerated a bit.

And let me know if this sounds totally out of the norm, because it is possible that I installed them incorrectly or messed something else up.

Try loosening all you motor and trans mounts and then rock then engine back and forth by hand. It might not be setteled all the way and could be binding because of it.

Guys I haven't been able to get on all weekend, the site would load up but I couldn't go anywhere do to the slow servers and my pda being a bad combo. Powell Raceshop is shipping 25 sets of mounts today. The rest will be shipped this coming weekend. Shipping is normally 3 days. Sorry for the delay guys but trust me it will be worth it.

When are you expecting to get the next set in and do you know how many? It looks like I did not make the cut for yesterday's shipment so trying to figure out when to expect mine ( I was like 3rd to last to pay so I know I am low on the list but now you have shipped 19 of ~25 stage 2)
