i would never recommend the vibrant as far as sound... maybe it's different on a tc, but on the other cobalts i don't like it at all. quality piece, just sounds like a chainsaw.

Hahns exhaust is a work of art, and sounds Badass... Its very deep and does not drone, and is still VERY loud when you get on it, yet very quiet and refined on the highway.

Highly recommended. I hated to put it UNDER the car since it looked so good (including the welds - perfect).

I say, pick whatever exhaust sounds the best to YOU. Let us know how the Vibrant fits and sounds when you get it.

i don't like the vibrant setups, they're very raspy, sounds like a cranky weedwhacker.

The hahn is a great upgrade for the cobalt. sounds great at idle, unbelievable burble when backing off the throttle, and a deep, guttural sound to match. By far my favorite sounding exhaust, and the craftmanship is flawless. You don't even want to touch it since it looks so damn good.

Get the hahn.

Talking

I personally went with the Vibrant header, dp, and 3" exhaust. Drove the car when I was home on leave and loved it. It had a throaty sound and was loud as hell when I got on it. I Love mine but really just get the one that YOU WANT!!

so why would it be a waste? Your car is turbocharged and can use the additional size to help expel more air faster. You don't have to worry about scavenging and exhaust flow like the supercharged cars do. Saying it's a waste is wrong. And if you decide to just put on a catback the gains will be about the same as long as the sizing is the same. The difference IS going to be primarily in the sound department, and that should be important. If you want your car to be fast and raspy, get the vibrant. If you want to have a great sounding car to complement the performance benefits it already has, get the hahn.
