what do us turbo guys have to do to beat an 09 sti probably from a roll? would an intake and tune put us up there?

sti's are great off the line but have shitty top end. a tune would be perfect to take him. he might go ahead at first but you'll be able to catch him

 

Probably could beat one stock... I don't know what the difference is between the 08 and 09's is HP wise though, if any... but my Stg2 SS/SC would walk an 08 pretty good last year.

 

yup.....they are slow because of the added weight. You'd rape one in the twisties too.

 

ummmmm lol hate to say it but the last few STi's i raced from a roll were in my mirror by 4th gear.........the tune and intake is just to rub it in their face

The Sti's are not that much faster then the WRX's now....you should be able to beat one pretty soundly with just a few extra horses.

 

That's because the WRX's got faster though... not because the STi's got slower. Haha.

sry son, you have much to learn, take a look at the Subaru forum, an 05 STI with 100octane tune ran 13.04@104.99MPH. Then you take a look at the best run from a stock ss/tc and he did 13.56@104.35MPH........so lets make things equal and get a stock ss/tc with a 100octane tune and run the 1/4 mile against an STi with a 100octane tune........ that would be a sweet vid FTW

i raced the same sti 3 times the first time i was stock he pulled 3 cars then after all of my hahn upgrades he got the jump and i stayed at his door then when i got a tune i smoked him

 

not sure about the STI, but the new EVO has nothing for us on the highway... He did a ricer fly by, his tan can farting the whole time, and, all stock, i caught up to him, and we went for 55 to 120 and he was in my mirrors the whole time... I don't know what would happen from a dig though... I want to find out!

 

real racing is a track that consists of everything pushing any car to its limits not just showing off its strong points

Have you not seen what Car and Driver did at VIR. How the SS/TC raped the 08 STI around that track???



how bout how the Cobalt ss/tc beat the 05 STI around the nurburing by five seconds, and the funny thing is the 8:22 lap time you will see for the ss/tc was on a wet track.

It didnt beat the STI in the nurburgring...I cant believe it beat the 350Z though holy ****. That car was designed from the ground up to be a handling/fast car. It beat the S2000 too jesus. How does FWD do that?

 

car and driver had a ss/tc beat an sti by 6 seconds on 3 min. course. from a roll the balt is quicker but from a dig your done

 

the SS/Tc also raped the new EVO MR at Laguna Seca. People underestimate the abilities of this little chevy. Ownage.
