any one have any of these.i installed my H&R sports yesterday however i didn't get an alignment yet which i know i need to do, the only thing is that when i turn a certain amount i get a clunk on each side, but its not always in the same place depends with the amount of turning, would these correct that or you guys think its something else..it was installed correctly though

It took alot of the bump steer out,so it might.

i find most lowering springs will clunk a little bit till they get seated. my car still has the odd spring clunk when turning, hardley ever though now. my old car would pop and clunk for the first couple months, got less and less the more i drove it.

once your springs get seated it should diminish. i feel the rack spacers would be a wise investment regardless. im getting ready to install these now :cool: i've paid close attention trying to feel out the bump steer, and there's quite a bit, more than likely even worse since im lowered.

yes it will definitely help, especially on a lowered car.

the car is designed as are most cars, to have a range of suspension motion with a minimum disturbance to alignment from the movement of the steering tie rods up and down through ride motion.

look at the car at ride height unlowered, the lower control arm is roughly parallel to the ground. lower the car, the control arms are now angled up at the outboard end. As the control arm moves, it moves the knuckle, which is connected to the steering tie rods. If the car is lowered, the angle exagerates the movement of the steering tie rods.This causes the car to self steer through range of suspension motion. "bump" steer.

raise the rack ,(when you lower the car with spacers,) and "presto" the steering tie rods are back to their quasi "stock" position.

OMG... passenger side was easy as pie. Now I am stuck on the drivers side... looks like I will need to unbolt the rear trans mount and raise it just a hair. Otherwise, it was a bit easier than I thought (though this opinion is likely to change).

The drivers side is a bitch without the trans mount in the way...

The long bolt hits the firewall and is a pain to get in once the spacer is installed. I recommend not removing the bolt all the way. Leave it in and lift the rack just enough to get the spacer in.

That is why I installed them when I put my clutch in. They were so easy to put in with everything already taken apart.

Tell me about it! I can drive a few hundred miles by the end of april. I will be down in SEWI this week with the RL. Round trip that will be almost 350. Then another 200 to the CED meet.
