My new project
My new project
Hey guys, since selling my car of course I'm missing having power
so I just picked up a new project:

1988 Camaro, 305 TBI, $800. body is a bit rough, but to be expected for a 20 year old car from the north. Bought it not running, they said the injectors wouldn't turn on, so I first went for the fuel pump, which wasn't turning on. Finally got that working, and now the injectors will not pump fuel thru them. They turn on but just blow air. I've got fuel pressure and fuel flow thru the throttle body just not into the injectors themselves. I'm not too worried about it, because it'll be pulled this weekend anyway.
So future plans are: body work of course, fix the rust in the wheel wells, under the rocker covers, and the slight damage to the front end. Engine includes a new 350, Edelbrach 650 carb and intake, 64cc heads with 2.02/1.60 valves, 10.5:1 compression ratio, good cam, gear drive timing chain, a/c delete, and a 700R4 tranny swap with 2800 stall coverter. Hoping to get it at least mobile by summer. Warm weather's coming so it'll be much easier to work on it lol.

I was between the 700R4 or rebuilding the stock th350 in the car, but ralli's got me thinking about the LM7 and I'll need to find a tranny to match that. Doubt the 80's tranny will. Thanks!
