My Atom is not my daily driver and it is something that if I knew that I could find high octane, I would tune for it and only buy it. Does anybody know of a Pacific Northwest list or web site that lists where you can get high octane fuel? I know of the station on Auburn Way North and that is it ...

I was told that if I tune to the watered down vegetable oil that we call premium that most of the timing advance will be gone from my engine.

most race tracks sell race gas. something to look into

That is definitely true. I was thinking that if I just went on a drive and was not at the track. The Atom's range is not the best so if there was a list that I could per-load into my GPS that would be the best.

There is a place in Bothell and another in Arlington that I know of, but I don't think that'll help you. You can get high octane from most performance shops, but you gotta look around.

IMHO I wouldn't bother going to a race fuel. You can run some pretty aggressive timing numbers with a good tune and proper cooling mods. With a race gas tune you may gain 15 whp at most, depending on what tune you were using before.

A more permanent alternative to race fuel is meth injection. It has similar properties to running race fuel all the time but it much cheaper and allows you to fill up anywhere.

Obviously there is just not enough high octane fuel to make any other alternative possible! I already have the meth on the car, so, it is just a waiting game on my re coat of the exhaust. Ahh, .. the PNW sun, cold, possible snow is just making me impatient to drive again.

I was hoping that there were enough to put together my own list if someone had not already done so. Obviously there are not enough stations to do that, so, I am going to tune for the best that is readily available and go forward. To bad, ... as it sounds like we are leaving a lot on the table! Of course if the car was a DD this was never even an consideration, but, if it is a more of a toy, why not consider it?
